104. Al-Humaza سُورَةُ الهُمَزَةِ
Yusuf AliWoe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter
Saheeh InternationalWoe to every scorner and mocker
«ويل» كلمة عذاب أو وادٍ في جهنم «لكل هُمزة لُمزة» أي كثير الهمز واللمز، أي الغيبة نزلت فيمن كان يغتاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والمؤمنين كأُمية بن خلف والوليد بن المغيرة وغيرهما.
Yusuf AliWho pileth up wealth and layeth it by
Saheeh InternationalWho collects wealth and [continuously] counts it
«الذي جمع» بالتخفيف والتشديد «مالا وعدده» أحصاه وجعله عدة لحوادث الدهر.
Yusuf AliThinking that his wealth would make him last for ever
Saheeh InternationalHe thinks that his wealth will make him immortal
«يحسب» لجهله «أن ماله أخلده» جعله خالدا لا يموت.
Yusuf AliBy no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces
Saheeh InternationalNo! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher
«كلا» ردع «لينبذن» جواب قسم محذوف، أي ليطرحن «في الحطمة» التي تحطم كل ما ألقي فيها.
Yusuf AliAnd what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces
Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is the Crusher
«وما أدراك» أعلمك «ما الحطمة».
Yusuf Ali(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) God kindled (to a blaze)
Saheeh InternationalIt is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled
«نار الله الموقدة» المسعرة.
Yusuf AliThe which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts
Saheeh InternationalWhich mounts directed at the hearts
«التي تطَّلع» تشرف «على الأفئدة» القلوب فتحرقها وألمها أشد من ألم غيرها للطفها.
Yusuf AliIt shall be made into a vault over them
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them
«إنها عليهم» جمع الضمير رعاية لمعنى كل «مؤصدة» بالهمز والواو بدله، مطبقة.
Yusuf AliIn columns outstretched
Saheeh InternationalIn extended columns
«في عمد» بضم الحرفين وبفتحهما «ممددة» صفة لما قبله فتكون النار داخل العمد.
