15:1
الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانࣲ مُّبِينࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırElif, Lâm, Râ. Bunlar kitabın ve apaçık bir Kur'ân'ın âyetleridir

Saheeh InternationalAlif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur'an

Yusuf AliL. R. These are the Ayats of Revelation,- of a Qur'an that makes things clear

15:2 📚 4
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ كَانُواْ مُسۡلِمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBir zaman gelecek ki inkâr edenler, keşke müslüman olsaydık temennisinde bulunacaklardır

Saheeh InternationalPerhaps those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims

Yusuf AliAgain and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God's will) in Islam

15:3 📚 1
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَأۡكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnları bırak yesinler, içsinler, zevk alsınlar; arzu onları oyalasın ilerde bileceklerdir

Saheeh InternationalLet them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know

Yusuf AliLeave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them)

15:4
وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابࣱ مَّعۡلُومࣱ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz hiçbir memleketi (Allah katında) bilinen bir zamanı olmaksızın helak etmedik

Saheeh InternationalAnd We did not destroy any city but that for it was a known decree

Yusuf AliNever did We destroy a population that had not a term decreed and assigned beforehand

15:5
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHiçbir millet, ecelinin önüne geçemez ve onu geciktiremez

Saheeh InternationalNo nation will precede its term, nor will they remain thereafter

Yusuf AliNeither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it

15:6 📚 1
وَقَالُواْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDediler ki: "Ey kendisine Kur'ân indirilen (Muhammed)! Sen mutlaka bir mecnunsun

Saheeh InternationalAnd they say, "O you upon whom the message has been sent down, indeed you are mad

Yusuf AliThey say: "O thou to whom the Message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)

15:7
لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEğer peygamberlik davanda doğru kimselerdensen, bize melekleri getirmeliydin

Saheeh InternationalWhy do you not bring us the angels, if you should be among the truthful

Yusuf AliWhy bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth

15:8
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذࣰ ا مُّنظَرِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz o melekleri ancak, hak ile indiririz. Ve indirildikleri vakit de onlara (kâfirlere) hiç mühlet verilmez

Saheeh InternationalWe do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved

Yusuf AliWe send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have

15:9 📚 7
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHiç şüphe yok ki, Kur'ân'ı biz indirdik, elbette onu yine biz koruyacağız

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian

Yusuf AliWe have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)

15:10
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAndolsun, senden önceki milletler arasında da peygamberler gönderdik

Saheeh InternationalAnd We had certainly sent [messengers] before you, [O Muhammad], among the sects of the former peoples

Yusuf AliWe did send apostles before thee amongst the religious sects of old

15:11 📚 1
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara hiçbir peygamber gelmiyordu ki onunla alay etmiş olmasınlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him

Yusuf AliBut never came an apostle to them but they mocked him

15:12
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz o küfrü suçluların kalbine işte böyle sokarız

Saheeh InternationalThus do We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals

Yusuf AliEven so do we let it creep into the hearts of the sinners

15:13
لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKur'âna iman etmezler, halbuki öncekilerin sünneti (inanmadıkları için başlarına gelenler) gelip geçmiştir

Saheeh InternationalThey will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples

Yusuf AliThat they should not believe in the (Message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away

15:14
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعۡرُجُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara gökten bir kapı açsak da oradan yukarı çıksalar

Saheeh InternationalAnd [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend

Yusuf AliEven if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein

15:15
لَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمࣱ مَّسۡحُورُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGözlerimiz perdelendi, daha doğrusu bize büyü yapılmıştır" derler

Saheeh InternationalThey would say, "Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic

Yusuf AliThey would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery

15:16
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجࣰ ا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAndolsun biz, gökte birtakım burçlar yarattık ve bakanlar için onu süsledik

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers

Yusuf AliIt is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders

15:17
وَحَفِظۡنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنࣲ رَّجِيمٍ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe göğü taşlanan bütün şeytanlardan koruduk

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah]

Yusuf AliAnd (moreover) We have guarded them from every evil spirit accursed

15:18
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابࣱ مُّبِينࣱ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAncak kulak hırsızlığı eden şeytan hariç, onu apaçık bir alev sütunu takip eder

Saheeh InternationalExcept one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame

Yusuf AliBut any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see)

15:19 📚 1
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ مَّوۡزُونࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYeryüzünü düzgün bir şekilde yarattık ve oraya sabit dağlar yerleştirdik. Orada hikmetle ölçülmüş her şeyden bitkiler bitirdik

Saheeh InternationalAnd the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing

Yusuf AliAnd the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance

15:20
وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOrada hem sizin için, hem de sizin rızıklarını veremediğiniz kimseler için geçim yollarını yarattık

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers

Yusuf AliAnd We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible

15:21 📚 1
وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHer şeyin hazineleri yalnız bizim yanımızdadır. Fakat biz, onu ancak ihtiyaca göre, belli ölçülerde veririz

Saheeh InternationalAnd there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure

Yusuf AliAnd there is not a thing but its (sources and) treasures (inexhaustible) are with Us; but We only send down thereof in due and ascertainable measures

15:22
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءࣰ فَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz rüzgarları aşılayıcı olarak gönderdik ve gökten bir su indirip sizi onunla suladık. O suyu hazinelerde tutan da siz değilsiniz

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers

Yusuf AliAnd We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores

15:23
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırElbette biz diriltiriz ve biz öldürürüz! Ve hepsinin varisleri de biziz

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor

Yusuf AliAnd verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away)

15:24 📚 3
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAndolsun ki biz, içinizden İslâm'da öne geçmek isteyenleri de biliriz, geri kalmak isteyenleri de biliriz

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]

Yusuf AliTo Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind

15:25
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمࣱ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz Rabbin O'dur ki, onları kıyamet gününde hesaba çekmek için toplayacaktır. O, hikmet sahibidir, bilendir

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing

Yusuf AliAssuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge

15:26
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAndolsun ki biz insanı kuru bir çamurdan, şekillenmiş bir balçıktan yarattık

Saheeh InternationalAnd We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud

Yusuf AliWe created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape

15:27
وَٱلۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırCinleri de daha önce insan vücudunun gözeneklerinden geçebilen güçlü bir ateşten yarattık

Saheeh InternationalAnd the jinn We created before from scorching fire

Yusuf AliAnd the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind

15:28
وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرࣰ ا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEy Peygamber! Rabbinin meleklere şöyle dediğini hatırla: "Ben, kuru balçıktan, şekil verilmiş kokuşmuş çamurdan bir insan yaratacağım

Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud

Yusuf AliBehold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape

15:29 📚 4
فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBen, onun yaratılışını tamamladığım ve ona ruhumdan üflediğim zaman, siz hemen onun için secdeye kapanın

Saheeh InternationalAnd when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration

Yusuf AliWhen I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him

15:30
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBunun üzerine meleklerin hepsi toptan secde ettiler

Saheeh InternationalSo the angels prostrated - all of them entirely

Yusuf AliSo the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together

15:31
إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYalnız İblis hariç. O secde edenlerle beraber olmaktan çekinmişti

Saheeh InternationalExcept Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated

Yusuf AliNot so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves

15:32
قَالَ يَٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah buyurdu ki: "Ey İblis! Ne oluyor sana da, secde edenlerle beraber olmuyorsun

Saheeh International[Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate

Yusuf Ali(God) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves

15:33
قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİblis şöyle dedi: "Kuru bir çamurdan, şekillenmiş bir balçıktan yarattığın bir insana secde edemezdim

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud

Yusuf Ali(Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape

15:34
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمࣱ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah şöyle buyurdu: "Öyle ise oradan çık! Sen, artık kovulmuş birisin

Saheeh International[Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled

Yusuf Ali(God) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed

15:35
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKıyamet gününe kadar lanet senin üzerindedir

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense

Yusuf AliAnd the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment

15:36 📚 1
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİblis: "Rabbim! Öyle ise insanların kabirlerinden kaldırılacakları güne (kıyamete) kadar bana mühlet ver" dedi

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected

Yusuf Ali(Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised

15:37
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah buyurdu ki: "Sen mühlet verilenlerdensin

Saheeh International[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved

Yusuf Ali(God) said: "Respite is granted thee

15:38
إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah katında bilinen vaktin gününe kadar

Saheeh InternationalUntil the Day of the time well-known

Yusuf AliTill the Day of the Time appointed

15:39
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİblis şöyle dedi: "Rabbim! Beni saptırdığın için, mutlaka ben de yeryüzünde onlara günahları süsleyeceğim ve onların hepsini mutlaka azdıracağım

Saheeh International[Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all

Yusuf Ali(Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong

15:40 📚 4
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAncak içlerinden ihlaslı kulların müstesnâdır

Saheeh InternationalExcept, among them, Your chosen servants

Yusuf AliExcept Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)

15:41
قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسۡتَقِيمٌ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah şöyle buyurdu: "İşte bana ulaşan dosdoğru yol budur

Saheeh International[Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight

Yusuf Ali(God) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me

15:42
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırSana uyan azgınlardan başka, kullarımın üzerinde hiçbir nüfuzun yoktur

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators

Yusuf AliFor over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee

15:43 📚 2
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz ki onların hepsine vaad edilen yer cehennemdir

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all

Yusuf AliAnd verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all

15:44
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَٰبࣲ لِّكُلِّ بَابࣲ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءࣱ مَّقۡسُومٌ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırCehennemin yedi kapısı vardır. O kapıların herbiri için birer grup ayrılmıştır

Saheeh InternationalIt has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated

Yusuf AliTo it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned

15:45
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتࣲ وَعُيُونٍ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllahtan korkanlar, elbette cennetlerde ve pınarların başındadırlar

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs

Yusuf AliThe righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water)

15:46
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara: "Selametle güven içinde oraya girin" denir

Saheeh International[Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]

Yusuf Ali(Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security

15:47 📚 4
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz o cennetliklerin kalblerindeki kinleri çıkarır atarız. Hepsi kardeşler olarak sevinç içinde karşılıklı koltuklara otururlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other

Yusuf AliAnd We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity)

15:48 📚 1
لَا يَمَسُّهُمۡ فِيهَا نَصَبࣱ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِينَ

Saheeh InternationalNo fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed

Yusuf AliThere no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave

15:49
۞نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِيٓ أَنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKullarıma haber ver ki, gerçekten ben çok bağışlayıcı ve pek merhamet ediciyim

Saheeh International[O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful

Yusuf AliTell My servants that I am indeed the Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful

15:50
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِيمُ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBununla beraber azabım da çok acıklı bir azabdır. Bunları geçmişten bazı örneklerle açıklamak üzere

Saheeh InternationalAnd that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment

Yusuf AliAnd that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty

15:51
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHem o kullara, İbrahim'in misafirlerinden de haber ver

Saheeh InternationalAnd inform them about the guests of Abraham

Yusuf AliTell them about the guests of Abraham

15:52
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمࣰ ا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHani melekler, İbrahim'in yanına girdikleri zaman, "selam" demişler, İbrahim de onlara: "Biz sizden korkuyoruz" demişti

Saheeh InternationalWhen they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you

Yusuf AliWhen they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you

15:53
قَالُواْ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMelekler: "Korkma! Gerçekten biz sana bilgin bir oğul müjdeliyoruz" dediler

Saheeh International[The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy

Yusuf AliThey said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom

15:54
قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِي عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİbrahim dedi ki: "Bana ihtiyarlık gelmişken, beni mi müjdeliyorsunuz, neye dayanarak beni müjdeliyorsunuz

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform

Yusuf AliHe said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news

15:55
قَالُواْ بَشَّرۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMelekler: "Seni gerçekle müjdeliyoruz. Sakın Allah'ın rahmetinden ümidini kesenlerden olma!" dediler

Saheeh InternationalThey said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing

Yusuf AliThey said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair

15:56 📚 3
قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİbrahim dedi ki: "Rabbimin rahmetinden, sapıklardan başka kim ümit keser

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray

Yusuf AliHe said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray

15:57 📚 1
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEy elçiler! Başka ne işiniz var?" dedi

Saheeh International[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers

Yusuf AliAbraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of God)

15:58
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMelekler şöyle dediler: "Biz suçlu bir kavmi cezalandırmak için gönderildik

Saheeh InternationalThey said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

Yusuf AliThey said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin

15:59
إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAncak Lût ailesi müstesnâdır. Biz, onların hepsini muhakkak kurtaracağız

Saheeh InternationalExcept the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all

Yusuf AliExcepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All

15:60
إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYalnız Lût'un karısı müstesnâ, çünkü onun helak edilenlerle birlikte yok edilmesini takdir ettik

Saheeh InternationalExcept his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind

Yusuf AliExcept his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind

15:61
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMelek olan elçiler, Lût kavmine gelince

Saheeh InternationalAnd when the messengers came to the family of Lot

Yusuf AliAt length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut

15:62
قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ مُّنكَرُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırLût dedi ki: "Doğrusu siz ürkülecek bir kavimsiniz

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "Indeed, you are people unknown

Yusuf AliHe said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk

15:63
قَالُواْ بَلۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırElçiler dediler ki: "Bilakis biz sana onların şüphe ettiği azabı getirdik

Saheeh InternationalThey said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing

Yusuf AliThey said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt

15:64
وَأَتَيۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırSana gerçeği getirdik; biz elbette doğru söylüyoruz

Saheeh InternationalAnd we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful

Yusuf AliWe have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth

15:65
فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعࣲ مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا يَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدࣱ وَٱمۡضُواْ حَيۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGecenin bir bölümünde aileni yola çıkar, sen de arkalarından yürü ve sizden kimse ardına bakmasın; istenen yere gidin

Saheeh InternationalSo set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded

Yusuf AliThen travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered

15:66 📚 1
وَقَضَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوعࣱ مُّصۡبِحِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz, Lût'a şu kesin emri vahyettik: "Bu kâfirler sabaha çıkarken muhakkak kökleri kesilmiş olacaktır

Saheeh InternationalAnd We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning

Yusuf AliAnd We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning

15:67
وَجَآءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞehir halkı, insan şeklindeki güzel yüzlü melekleri görünce, onlara iğrenç işlerini yapabileceklerini düşünüp sevinerek geldiler

Saheeh InternationalAnd the people of the city came rejoicing

Yusuf AliThe inhabitants of the city came in (mad) joy (at news of the young men)

15:68
قَالَ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِي فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırLût, kavmine şöyle dedi: "Bunlar benim misafirlerimdir, beni rüsvay etmeyin

Saheeh International[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me

Yusuf AliLut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not

15:69
وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah'tan korkun! Beni mahcub etmeyin

Saheeh InternationalAnd fear Allah and do not disgrace me

Yusuf AliBut fear God, and shame me not

15:70
قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırLût kavmi şöyle dedi: "Biz sana kimsenin koruyuculuğunu yapmamanı söylememiş miydik

Saheeh InternationalThey said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people

Yusuf AliThey said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry

15:71
قَالَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırLût şöyle dedi: "İşte kızlarım! Düşündüğünüzü yapacaksanız (onlarla evlenin)

Saheeh International[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]

Yusuf AliHe said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)

15:72 📚 3
لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırResulüm! Ömrüne yemin olsun ki gerçekten onlar, sarhoşlukları içinde bocalayıp duruyorlardı

Saheeh InternationalBy your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly

Yusuf AliVerily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro

15:73
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGüneş doğarken o korkunç çığlık onları yakaladı

Saheeh InternationalSo the shriek seized them at sunrise

Yusuf AliBut the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning

15:74
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz, onların şehirlerinin üstünü altına geçirdik ve üzerlerine de balçıktan pişirilmiş taşlar yağdırdık

Saheeh InternationalAnd We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay

Yusuf AliAnd We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay

15:75
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتࣲ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGerçekten bunda, düşünen keskin anlayışlılar için ibretler vardır

Saheeh InternationalIndeed in that are signs for those who discern

Yusuf AliBehold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand

15:76
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلࣲ مُّقِيمٍ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHem o Lût kavminin bulunduğu şehir harabesi bir yol üzerinde bulunmaktadır

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road

Yusuf AliAnd the (cities were) right on the high-road

15:77
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةࣰ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz ki, bunda iman edenler için bir ibret vardır

Saheeh InternationalIndeed in that is a sign for the believers

Yusuf AliBehold! in this is a sign for those who believed

15:78
وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEyke halkı da gerçekten zalimlerdi

Saheeh InternationalAnd the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers

Yusuf AliAnd the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers

15:79
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامࣲ مُّبِينࣲ‏

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz Eyke halkından da intikâm aldık. İkisi de (Eyke ve Medyen) açık bir yol üzerindedir

Saheeh InternationalSo We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway

Yusuf AliSo We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see

15:80
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz ki, Hıcr halkı da peygamberleri yalanladılar

Saheeh InternationalAnd certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers

Yusuf AliThe Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the apostles

15:81
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz, onlara âyetlerimizi vermiştik de onlar, yüz çeviriyorlardı

Saheeh InternationalAnd We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away

Yusuf AliWe sent them Our Sings, but they persisted in turning away from them

15:82
وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlar, dağlardan emniyetli emniyetli evler yontuyorlardı

Saheeh InternationalAnd they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure

Yusuf AliOut of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure

15:83
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnları da sabahleyin korkunç bir çığlık yakaladı

Saheeh InternationalBut the shriek seized them at early morning

Yusuf AliBut the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning

15:84
فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKazanmakta oldukları şeyler, onlardan hiçbir zararı savmadı

Saheeh InternationalSo nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn

Yusuf AliAnd of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)

15:85 📚 2
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةࣱۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz gökleri, yeri ve aralarındaki varlıkları ancak hak ve hikmetle yarattık ve elbette ki, kıyamet kopacaktır. (Ey Peygamber!) Şimdi sen onlara yumuşak davran ve güzel muamele et

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness

Yusuf AliWe created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness

15:86
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz Rabbin kemaliyle yaratandır ve iyi bilendir

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator

Yusuf AliFor verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things

15:87
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAndolsun ki, biz sana tekrarlanan yedi âyeti (Fatihayı) ve yüce Kur'ân'ı verdik

Saheeh InternationalAnd We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an

Yusuf AliAnd We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an

15:88 📚 12
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجࣰ ا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırSakın o kâfirlerden birtakımlarına verip de kendilerini zevklendirdiğimiz şeye (mal ve servete) heveslenip göz dikeyim deme. Onlardan dolayı üzülme. Müminlere merhamet kanatlarını indir

Saheeh InternationalDo not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers

Yusuf AliStrain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers

15:89 📚 3
وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDe ki: "Şüphesiz ben apaçık bir uyarıcıyım

Saheeh InternationalAnd say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner

Yusuf AliAnd say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity

15:90 📚 1
كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır(İnanmazsanız başınıza) tıpkı o taksimcilere (yahudi ve hıristiyanlara) indirdiğimiz azap gibi (bir azab inecektir)

Saheeh InternationalJust as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators

Yusuf Ali(Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts)

15:91
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlar, Kur'ân'ın bir kısmına inanıp bir kısmına inanmayarak onu kısım kısım böldüler

Saheeh InternationalWho have made the Qur'an into portions

Yusuf Ali(So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please)

15:92
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırRabbin hakkı için biz, mutlaka onların hepsini yaptıklarından dolayı hesaba çekeceğiz

Saheeh InternationalSo by your Lord, We will surely question them all

Yusuf AliTherefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account

15:93 📚 7
عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırRabbin hakkı için biz, mutlaka onların hepsini yaptıklarından dolayı hesaba çekeceğiz

Saheeh InternationalAbout what they used to do

Yusuf AliFor all their deeds

15:94
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞimdi sen emrolunduğunu açıkça tebliğ et. Müşriklerden yüz çevir

Saheeh InternationalThen declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists

Yusuf AliTherefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with God

15:95
إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMuhakkak ki alay edenlere karşı biz sana yeteriz

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers

Yusuf AliFor sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff

15:96
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlar Allah ile birlikte başkasını ilâh edinenlerdir. Onlar yakında bileceklerdir

Saheeh InternationalWho make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know

Yusuf AliThose who adopt, with God, another god: but soon will they come to know

15:97 📚 5
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGerçekten biliriz ki, onların söylediklerine göğsün daralıyor

Saheeh InternationalAnd We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say

Yusuf AliWe do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say

15:98
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO halde Rabbini hamd ile tesbih et. Ve secde edenlerden ol

Saheeh InternationalSo exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]

Yusuf AliBut celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration

15:99 📚 10
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe sana ölüm gelinceye kadar Rabbine ibadet et

Saheeh InternationalAnd worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death)

Yusuf AliAnd serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain
