Yusuf AliWe created not the heavens and the earth and all between them but for just ends, and for a Term Appointed: But those who reject Faith turn away from that whereof they are warned

Saheeh InternationalSay, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful
Yusuf AliSay: "Do ye see what it is ye invoke besides God? Show me what it is they have created on earth, or have they a share in the heavens bring me a book (revealed) before this, or any remnant of knowledge (ye may have), if ye are telling the truth
Süleyman AteşDe ki: "Allah'tan başka yalvardıklarınızı gördünüz mü? Bana gösterin, onlar yerden neyi yarattılar? Yoksa gökler(in yaratılışın)da onların bir ortaklığı mı var? Eğer doğru iseniz bundan önce (inmiş olan) bir Kitap, yahut bir bilgi kalıntısı getirin
Ali BulaçAllah'ı bırakıp kıyamet gününe kadar kendisine icabet etmeyecek şeylere tapandan daha sapmış kimdir? Oysa onlar, bunların tapmalarından habersizdirler
Saheeh InternationalAnd who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware
Yusuf AliAnd who is more astray than one who invokes besides God, such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call (to them)
Süleyman AteşAllah'ı bırakıp da kıyamet gününe kadar kendisine cevap veremeyecek şeylere yalvarandan daha sapık kim olabilir? Oysa onlar, bunların yalvardıklarından habersizdirler
Ali Bulaçİnsanlar haşrolunduğu (biraraya getirildiği) zaman, (Allah'tan başka taptıkları) onlara düşman kesilirler ve (kendilerine) ibadet etmelerini de tanımazlar
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship
Yusuf AliAnd when mankind are gathered together (at the Resurrection), they will be hostile to them and reject their worship (altogether)
Süleyman Ateşİnsanlar (Yüce Divana) toplandıkları gün, (taptıkları tanrılar) onlara düşman olurlar ve onların, kendilerine tapmalarını tanımazlar

Ali BulaçYoksa: "Kendisi onu uydurdu" mu diyorlar? De ki: "Eğer ben uydurdumsa, bu durumda siz, Allah'tan bana (gelecek) hiçbir şeye malik (engel) olamazsınız. Saheeh InternationalOr do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful
Yusuf AliOr do they say, "He has forged it"? Say: "Had I forged it, then can ye obtain no single (blessing) for me from God. He knows best of that whereof ye talk (so glibly)! Enough is He for a witness between me and you! And he is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
Süleyman AteşYoksa "Onu uydurdu" mu diyorlar? De ki: "Eğer ben onu uydurmuşsam, Allah'tan gelecek cezaya karşı sizin bana hiçbir yararınız olmaz. O, sizin yaptığınız taşkınlığı daha iyi bilir. Benimle sizin aranızda O'nun şahid olması yeter. O, bağışlayan, esirgeyendir

Saheeh InternationalSay, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner
Yusuf AliSay: "I am no bringer of new-fangled doctrine among the apostles, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I follow but that which is revealed to me by inspiration; I am but a Warner open and clear
Süleyman AteşDe ki: "Ben türedi bir elçi değilim. Bana ve size ne yapılacağını da bilmem. Ben sadece bana vahyedilene uyuyorum ve ben apaçık bir uyarıcıdan başka bir şey değilim
Ali BulaçDe ki: "Gördünüz mü-haber verin; eğer (bu Kur'an,) Allah Katından ise, siz de onu inkar etmişseniz ve İsrailoğulları'ndan bir şahid bunun bir benzerine şahidlik edip iman etmişse ve siz de büyüklük taslamışsanız (bunun sonucu ne olacak)? Şüphesiz Allah, zalim olan bir kavmi hidayete erdirmez
Saheeh InternationalSay, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant...?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people
Yusuf AliSay: "See ye? If (this teaching) be from God, and ye reject it, and a witness from among the Children of Israel testifies to its similarity (with earlier scripture), and has believed while ye are arrogant, (how unjust ye are!) truly, God guides not a people unjust
Süleyman AteşDe ki: "Hiç düşündünüz mü: Eğer bu (Kur'an) Allah katından olduğu halde siz onu tanımamışsanız; İsrail oğullarından bir şahid de bunun benzerini (Tevrat'ta) görüp inandığı halde siz (inanmağa) tenezzül etmemişseniz (durumunuz nice olur)? Allah, zalim bir toplumu doğru yola iletmez
Ali Bulaçİnkar edenler, iman edenler için dediler ki: "Eğer O (Kur'an veya iman) hayırlı bir şey olsaydı, ona bizden önce koşup-yetişemezlerdi." Oysa onlar, onunla hidayete ermediklerinden: "Bu, eski bir yalandır" diyecekler
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood
Yusuf AliThe Unbelievers say of those who believe: "If (this Message) were a good thing, (such men) would not have gone to it first, before us!" And seeing that they guide not themselves thereby, they will say, "this is an (old,) falsehood
Süleyman Ateşİnkar edenler, inananlar için "(Muhammed'in getirdiği) iyi bir şey olsaydı (şu zavallı kişiler) ona inanmada bizi geçemezlerdi, (biz onlardan önce inanırdık) dediler. Onlar, onun gösterdiği doğru yola eremediklerinden: "Bu eski bir yalandır," diyeceklerdir

Yusuf AliAnd before this, was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy: And this Book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust, and as Glad Tidings to those who do right

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah," and then remained on a right course - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve
Yusuf AliVerily those who say, "Our Lord is God," and remain firm (on that Path),- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve
Süleyman AteşRabbimiz Allah'tır deyip sonra doğru olanlar, onlara korku yoktur ve onlar üzülmeyeceklerdir
Ali Bulaçİşte onlar, cennet halkıdır; yaptıklarına karşılık olmak üzere, içinde ebedi olarak kalacaklardır
Saheeh InternationalThose are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do
Yusuf AliSuch shall be Companions of the Gardens, dwelling therein (for aye): a recompense for their (good) deeds
Süleyman AteşOnlar cennet halkıdır, yaptıklarına karşılık orada ebedi kalacaklardır
Ali BulaçBiz insana, 'anne ve babasına' iyilikle davranmasını tavsiye ettik. Annesi onu güçlükle taşıdı ve onu güçlükle doğurdu. Onun (hamilelikte) taşınması ve sütten kesilmesi, otuz aydır. Saheeh InternationalAnd We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims
Yusuf AliWe have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strengt h and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam
Süleyman AteşBiz insana, ana babasına iyilik etmesini tavsiye ettik. Anası onu zahmetle taşıdı ve zahmetle doğurdu. (Ana karnında) Taşınması ile sütten kesilmesi otuz ay sürdü. Nihayet (insan) güçlü çağına erip kırk yaşına varınca: "Ya Rabbi dedi, beni, bana ve anama, babama verdiğin ni'mete şükretmeğe, razı olacağın yararlı işler yapmağa sevk eyle. Benim için zürriyetim içinde de salahı devam ettir (benden gelecek olanları da iyi insanlar yap). Ben sana yüz tuttum ve ben (sana) teslim olanlardanım
Ali Bulaçİşte bunlar; yaptıklarının en güzelini kabul ederiz ve kötülüklerinden geçeriz; (bunlar) cennet halkı içindedirler. (İşte bu,) Onlara va'dolunan doğru bir vaaddir
Saheeh InternationalThose are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised
Yusuf AliSuch are they from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (They shall be) among the Companions of the Garden: a promise! of truth, which was made to them (in this life)
Süleyman AteşOnlar öyle kişilerdir ki, yaptıklarının en iyisini onlardan kabul ederiz ve onların kötülüklerinden geçeriz, cennet halkı arasındadırlar. Bu, (dünyada) kendilerine söylenen doğru söz(ün gerçekleşmesi)dir
Ali BulaçO kimse ki, anne ve babasına: "Öf size, benden önce nice nesiller gelip geçmişken, beni (diriltilip) çıkarılacağımla mı tehdit ediyorsunuz?" dedi. O ikisi (anne ve babası) ise Allah'a yakararak: "Yazıklar sana, iman et, şüphesiz Allah'ın va'di haktır." (derler; fakat) O: "Bu, geçmişlerin masallarından başkası değildir" der
Saheeh InternationalBut one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people
Yusuf AliBut (there is one) who says to his parents, "Fie on you! Do ye hold out the promise to me that I shall be raised up, even though generations have passed before me (without rising again)?" And they two seek God's aid, (and rebuke the son): "Woe to thee! Have faith! for the promise of God is true." But he says, "This is nothing but tales of the ancients
Süleyman AteşFakat o kimse ki anasına, babasına: "Öf size, benden önce nice nesiller gelip geçmiş, (kimse geri gelmemiş) iken siz benim (diriltilip) çıkarılacağımı mı bana va'dediyor(beni bununla mı tehdidediyor)sunuz?" dedi. Onlarsa Allah'a sığınarak: "Yazık sana, (etme, gel) inan; Allah'ın sözü gerçektir" derken o: "Bu, eskilerin masallarından başka bir şey değildir." der
Ali Bulaçİşte bunlar, cinlerden ve insanlardan kendilerinden evvel gelip-geçmiş ümmetler içinde (azap) sözü üzerlerine hak olmuş kimselerdir. Gerçekten onlar, ziyana uğrayanlardır
Saheeh InternationalThose are the ones upon whom the word has come into effect, [who will be] among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers
Yusuf AliSuch are they against whom is proved the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, that have passed away; for they will be (utterly) lost
Süleyman Ateşİşte onlar da kendilerine (azab) söz(ü) gerekli olmuş kimselerdir. Kendilerinden önce geçen cin ve insan toplulukları arasında (azabın içinde) bulunacaklardır. Gerçekten onlar, ziyana uğrayanlardır
Ali BulaçHer biri için yaptıklarınızdan dolayı dereceler vardır; öyle ki amelleri kendilerine eksiksizce ödensin ve onlar zulme de uğratılmazlar
Saheeh InternationalAnd for all there are degrees [of reward and punishment] for what they have done, and [it is] so that He may fully compensate them for their deeds, and they will not be wronged
Yusuf AliAnd to all are (assigned) degrees according to the deeds which they (have done), and in order that (God) may recompense their deeds, and no injustice be done to them
Süleyman AteşHer birinin (inananların ve inanmayanların) yaptıkları işlerden dereceleri vardır. Allah, onlara yaptıklarının karşılığını tam verir; kendilerine hiç haksızlık edilmez
Ali Bulaçİnkar edenler ateşe sunulacakları gün, (onlara şöyle denir:) "Siz dünya hayatınızda bütün 'güzellikleriniz ve zevklerinizi tüketip-yok ettiniz, onlarla yaşayıp-zevk sürdünüz. İşte yeryüzünde haksız yere büyüklenmeniz (istikbarınız) ve fasıklıkta bulunmanızdan dolayı, bugün alçaltıcı bir azap ile cezalandırılacaksınız
Saheeh InternationalAnd the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient
Yusuf AliAnd on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (It will be said to them): "Ye received your good things in the life of the world, and ye took your pleasure out of them: but today shall ye be recompensed with a Penalty of h umiliation: for that ye were arrogant on earth without just cause, and that ye (ever) transgressed
Süleyman Ateşİnkar edenler ateşe sunulacakları gün, (kendilerine denir ki): "Dünya hayatınızda bütün güzel şeylerinizi zayi ettiniz; (orada) bunlarla sefa sürüp bunları tükettiniz (burası için hiçbir şey bırakmadınız). Yeryüzünde haksız yere büyüklük taslamanızdan ve yoldan çıkmanızdan ötürü bugün, alçaltıcı bir azab ile cezalandırılacaksınız
Ali BulaçAd'ın kardeşini hatırla; onun önünden ve ardından nice uyarıcılar gelip geçmişti; hani o, Ahkaf'taki kavmini: "Allah'tan başkasına kulluk etmeyin, gerçekten ben, sizin için büyük bir günün azabından korkarım" diye uyarmıştı
Saheeh InternationalAnd mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day
Yusuf AliMention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, he warned his people about the winding Sand-tracts: but there have been warners before him and after him: "Worship ye none other than God: Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day
Süleyman AteşAd'ın kardeşini (Hud'u) an: AhÆaf'taki kavmini uyarmıştı. Onun önünden ve ardından nice uyarıcılar da gelip geçti (demişti ki): "Allah'tan başkasına kulluk etmeyin; ben sizin, büyük bir günün azabına uğramanızdan korkuyorum
Ali BulaçDediler ki: "Sen, bizi ilahlarımızdan çevirmek için mi bize geldin? Şu halde eğer doğru söylüyorsan, tehdit ettiğin şeyi, bize getir
Saheeh InternationalThey said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful
Yusuf AliThey said: "Hast thou come in order to turn us aside from our gods? Then bring upon us the (calamity) with which thou dost threaten us, if thou art telling the truth
Süleyman AteşDediler: "Sen bizi tanrılarımızdan çevirmek için mi geldin? Doğrulardan isen bizi tehdidettiğin şeyi bize getir
Ali BulaçDedi ki: "İlim ancak Allah Katındadır. Ben size gönderildiğim şeyi tebliğ ediyorum; ancak sizi cahillik eden bir kavim olarak görüyorum
Saheeh InternationalHe said, "Knowledge [of its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent; but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly
Yusuf AliHe said: "The Knowledge (of when it will come) is only with God: I proclaim to you the mission on which I have been sent: But I see that ye are a people in ignorance
Süleyman AteşDedi: "(Azabın ne zaman geleceğine dair) Bilgi, ancak Allah katındadır. Ben, tebliğ görevlendirildiğim mesajı size duyuruyorum; fakat sizi cahillik eden bir kavim görüyorum
Ali BulaçDerken, onu (azabı) vadilerine doğru yönelerek gelen bir bulut şeklinde gördükleri zaman, "Bu bize yağmur yağdıracak bir buluttur" dediler. Hayır, o, kendisi için acele ettiğiniz şeydir. Bir rüzgar; onda acı bir azap vardır
Saheeh InternationalAnd when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment
Yusuf AliThen, when they saw the (Penalty in the shape of) a cloud traversing the sky, coming to meet their valleys, they said, "This cloud will give us rain!" "Nay, it is the (Calamity) ye were asking to be hastened!- A wind wherein is a Grievous Penal ty
Süleyman AteşNihayet azabın (ufukta) geniş bir bulut halinde vadilerine doğru geldiğini görünce: "Bu, bize yağmur yağdıracak bir buluttur" dediler. Hayır, o sizin acele gelmesini istediğiniz şey, içinde acı azab bulunan bir rüzgardır
Ali BulaçRabbinin emriyle herşeyi yerle bir eder. Böylece meskenlerinden başka, hiçbir şey(leri) görünemez duruma düştüler. İşte Biz, suçlu-günahkar bir kavmi böyle cezalandırırız
Saheeh InternationalDestroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people
Yusuf AliEverything will it destroy by the command of its Lord!" Then by the morning they - nothing was to be seen but (the ruins of) their houses! thus do We recompense those given to sin
Süleyman AteşRabbinin emriyle her şeyi yıkar, mahveder. Derken onlar o hale geldiler ki konutlarından başka bir şey görülmez oldu. İşte biz, suç işleyen toplumu böyle cezalandırırız
Ali BulaçAndolsun, Biz onları, sizleri kendisinde yerleşik kılmadığımız yerlerde (size vermediğimiz güç ve iktidar imkanlarıyla) yerleşik kıldık ve onlara işitme, görme (duygularını) ve gönüller verdik. Ancak ne işitme, ne görme (duyuları) ve ne gönülleri kendilerine herhangi bir şey sağlamadı. Çünkü onlar, Allah'ın ayetlerini inkar ediyorlardı. Alay konusu edindikleri şey, onları sarıp-kuşattı
Saheeh InternationalAnd We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule
Yusuf AliAnd We had firmly established them in a (prosperity and) power which We have not given to you (ye Quraish!) and We had endowed them with (faculties of) hearing, seeing, heart and intellect: but of no profit to them were their (faculties of) he aring, sight, and heart and intellect, when they went on rejecting the Signs of God; and they were (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at
Süleyman AteşOnlara size vermediğimiz servet ve kuvveti vermiştik, onlara kulaklar, gözler ve gönüller yaratmıştık. Fakat ne kulakları, ne gözleri ne de gönülleri kendilerine bir yarar sağladı. Zira (düşünüp ibret almıyorlar, tersine) bile bile Allah'ın ayetlerini inkar ediyorlardı. Ve alay edip durdukları şey, kendilerini kuşatıverdi

Yusuf AliWhy then was no help forthcoming to them from those whom they worshipped as gods, besides God, as a means of access (to God)? Nay, they left them in the lurch: but that was their falsehood and their invention

Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners
Yusuf AliBehold, We turned towards thee a company of Jinns (quietly) listening to the Qur'an: when they stood in the presence thereof, they said, "Listen in silence!" When the (reading) was finished, they returned to their people, to warn (them of their sins)

Yusuf AliO our people, hearken to the one who invites (you) to God, and believe in him: He will forgive you your faults, and deliver you from a Penalty Grievous
Süleyman AteşEy kavmimiz, Allah'ın da'vetçisine uyun ve O'na inanın ki (Allah) günahlarınızdan bir kısmını bağışlasın ve sizi, acı azabdan korusun

Saheeh InternationalBut he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure [to Him] upon earth, and he will not have besides Him any protectors. Those are in manifest error
Yusuf AliIf any does not hearken to the one who invites (us) to God, he cannot frustrate (God's Plan) on earth, and no protectors can he have besides God: such men (wander) in manifest error
Süleyman AteşKim Allah'ın da'vetçisine uymazsa, yeryüzünde (başına inecek belaya) engel olamaz. Kendisinin O'ndan başka velileri de olmaz. Onlar, apaçık bir sapıklık içindedirler
Ali BulaçOnlar görmüyorlar mı ki, gökleri ve yeri yaratan ve onları yaratmaktan yorulmayan (Allah), ölüleri de diriltmeye güç yetirir. Hayır; gerçekten O, herşeye güç yetirendir
Saheeh InternationalDo they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and earth and did not fail in their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yes. Indeed, He is over all things competent
Yusuf AliSee they not that God, Who created the heavens and the earth, and never wearied with their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yea, verily He has power over all things
Süleyman AteşGökleri ve yeri yaratan, bunları yaratmakla yorulmayan Allah'ın, ölüleri diriltmeğe de kadir olduğunu görmediler mi? Evet O, her şeye kadirdir

Saheeh InternationalAnd the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve
Yusuf AliAnd on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (they will be asked,) "Is this not the Truth?" they will say, "Yea, by our Lord!" (One will say:) "Then taste ye the Penalty, for that ye were wont to deny (Truth)

Saheeh InternationalSo be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people
Yusuf AliTherefore patiently persevere, as did (all) apostles of inflexible purpose; and be in no haste about the (Unbelievers). On the Day that they see the (Punishment) promised them, (it will be) as if they had not tarried more than an hour in a sin gle day. (Thine but) to proclaim the Message: but shall any be destroyed except those who transgress
Süleyman AteşO halde sen de, azim (ve irade) sahibi elçilerin sabrettikleri gibi sabret. O (nankör)ler için acele etme. Onlar, tehdidedildikleri azabı gördükleri gün, sanki gündüzün sadece bir sa'ati kadar yaşamış gibi olurlar. (Bu) Bir duyurudur. Yoldan çıkmış topluluktan başkası mı helak edilecektir
