Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the heaven raised high

Yusuf AliBy the Canopy Raised High

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the sea filled [with fire]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKaynatılmış denize, (andolsun ki)

Yusuf AliAnd by the Ocean filled with Swell

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırRabbinin azabı mutlaka vuku bulacaktır

Yusuf AliVerily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass

Saheeh InternationalOf it there is no preventer

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOna engel olacak (hiçbir şey de) yoktur

Yusuf AliThere is none can avert it

Saheeh InternationalOn the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO gün gök, bir çalkanış çalkalanır

Yusuf AliOn the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion

Saheeh InternationalAnd the mountains will pass on, departing

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDağlar da bir yürüyüş yürür

Yusuf AliAnd the mountains will fly hither and thither

Saheeh InternationalThen woe, that Day, to the deniers

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVay haline o gün yalanlayanların

Yusuf AliThen woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood

Saheeh InternationalWho are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKi onlar, daldıkları bir batak (bâtıl)da oynayıp duruyorlar

Yusuf AliThat play (and paddle) in shallow trifles

Saheeh InternationalThe Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO gün onlar cehennem ateşine itilip kakılacaklar

Yusuf AliThat Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly

Saheeh InternationalThis is the Fire which you used to deny

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır(Onlara): "İşte yalanlayıp durduğunuz ateş budur" (denilecek)

Yusuf AliThis:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny

Saheeh InternationalThen is this magic, or do you not see

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBu da mı bir sihir? Yoksa siz görmüyor musunuz

Yusuf AliIs this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see

Saheeh International[Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGirin oraya, ister sabredin ister etmeyin artık sizin için birdir. Siz hep yaptıklarınıza göre cezalandırılacaksınız" (denilecek)

Yusuf AliBurn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz (günahlardan) korunanlar da cennetlerde, nimetler içindedirler

Yusuf AliAs to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness

Saheeh InternationalEnjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırRablerinin kendilerine verdiği ile zevk ü sefâ sürerler. Rableri onları, cehennem azabından korumuştur

Yusuf AliEnjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire

Saheeh International[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır(Onlara): "Yaptıklarınıza karşılık afiyetle yeyin, için" (denilir)

Yusuf Ali(To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds

Saheeh InternationalThey will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırSıra sıra dizilmiş koltuklara yaslanırlar. Ayrıca biz onları ceylan gözlü hûrilerle evlendirdik

Yusuf AliThey will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİman edip zürriyetleri de iman ile kendilerine tâbi olanlar (yok mu?); işte biz, onların nesillerini de kendilerine kattık. Kendilerinin amellerinden birşey de eksiltmedik. Herkes kendi kazandığına bağlıdır

Yusuf AliAnd those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds

Saheeh InternationalAnd We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara canlarının istediği meyvalar ve etlerden bol bol verdik

Yusuf AliAnd We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire

Saheeh InternationalThey will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOrada bir kadeh kapışırlar ki, onda ne bir saçmalama vardır, ne de günaha sokma

Yusuf AliThey shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill

Saheeh InternationalThere will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKendilerine ait bir takım hizmetçiler de onların etrafında dönerler. Bu gençler sanki sedefleri içine gizlenmiş inci gibidirler

Yusuf AliRound about them will serve, (devoted) to them. Youths (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded

Saheeh InternationalAnd they will approach one another, inquiring of each other

Yusuf AliThey will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry

Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe diyorlar ki: "Gerçekte biz daha önce (dünya hayatında) âilemiz içinde (âkibetimizden) korkardık

Yusuf AliThey will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people

Saheeh InternationalSo Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah bize lutfetti de bizi (vücûdun) içine işleyen (kavurucu) azabdan korudu

Yusuf AliBut God has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGerçekten biz bundan önce O'na yalvarıyorduk. Çünkü iyilik eden, esirgeyen ancak O'dur

Yusuf AliTruly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Saheeh InternationalSo remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır(Ey Muhammed!) sen hatırlat, öğüt ver. Rabbinin nimeti sayesinde sen ne kâhinsin, ne de mecnûn

Yusuf AliTherefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed

Saheeh InternationalOr do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa onlar (senin için): "Bir şâirdir, zamanın felaketlerine çarpılmasını gözetliyoruz." mu diyorlar

Yusuf AliOr do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time

Saheeh InternationalSay, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDe ki: Bekleyin, çünkü ben de sizinle beraber bekleyenlerdenim

Yusuf AliSay thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you

Saheeh InternationalOr do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnların akılları mı bunu emreder yoksa onlar azgın bir topluluk mudur

Yusuf AliIs it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds

Saheeh InternationalOr do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa "Onu uydurdu" mu diyorlar? Hayır onlar inanmıyorlar

Yusuf AliOr do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith

Saheeh InternationalThen let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEğer doğru iseler onun benzeri bir söz meydana getirsinler

Yusuf AliLet them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth

Saheeh InternationalOr were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]

Yusuf AliWere they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators

Saheeh InternationalOr did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa gökleri ve yeri onlar mı yarattılar? Hayır, onlar düşünüp hakikati anlamazlar

Yusuf AliOr did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief

Saheeh InternationalOr have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa Rabbinin hazineleri onların yanında mıdır? Yahut hâkim (her şeyin yöneticisi) kendileri midir

Yusuf AliOr are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)

Saheeh InternationalOr have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa kendilerine mahsus (üzerine çıkıp sırları) dinleyecekleri bir merdivenleri mi var? Öyleyse dinleyenleri, açık bir delil getirsin

Yusuf AliOr have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof

Saheeh InternationalOr has He daughters while you have sons

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDemek kızlar O'na, oğullar size öyle mi

Yusuf AliOr has He only daughters and ye have sons

Saheeh InternationalOr do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa sen kendilerinden bir ücret istiyorsun da, bu yüzden onlar ağır bir borç altında mı kalıyorlar

Yusuf AliOr is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt

Saheeh InternationalOr have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa gayb kendilerinin yanında da onlar mı yazıyorlar

Yusuf AliOr that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down

Saheeh InternationalOr do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa bir tuzak mı kurmak istiyorlar? Fakat o küfredenlerin kendileri tuzağa düşeceklerdir

Yusuf AliOr do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy God are themselves involved in a Plot

Saheeh InternationalOr have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoksa onların Allah'tan başka bir ilâhı mı var? Allah, onların ortak koştukları şeylerden uzaktır

Yusuf AliOr have they a god other than God? Exalted is God far above the things they associate with Him

Saheeh InternationalAnd if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGökten bir parçanın düştüğünü görseler, "Üst üste yığılmış bulutlardır." derler

Yusuf AliWere they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps

Saheeh InternationalSo leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırArtık çarpılacakları günlerine kavuşuncaya kadar onları (kendi hallerine) bırak

Yusuf AliSo leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror)

Saheeh InternationalThe Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO gün hiçbir tedbirlerinin kendilerine zerre kadar faydası olmayacak ve hiçbir şekilde yardım da görmeyeceklerdir

Yusuf AliThe Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞüphesiz o zulmedenlere ondan başka da azab vardır. Fakat çokları bilmezler

Yusuf AliAnd verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not

Saheeh InternationalAnd be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırRabbinin hükmüne sabret. Çünkü sen gözlerimizin önündesin. Kalktığın zaman Rabbini hamd ile tesbih et

Yusuf AliNow await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth

Saheeh InternationalAnd in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGecenin bir kısmında ve yıldızların batışında da O'nu tesbih et

Yusuf AliAnd for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars
