60. Al-Mumtahana سُورَةُ المُمۡتَحنَةِ

Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the Prophet and yourselves [only] because you believe in Allah, your Lord. If you have come out for jihad in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [take them not as friends]. You confide to them affection, but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared. And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way

Ali BulaçEy iman edenler, Benim de düşmanım, sizin de düşmanınız olanları veliler edinmeyin. Siz onlara karşı sevgi yöneltiyorsunuz; oysa onlar haktan size geleni inkar etmişler, Rabbiniz olan Allah'a inanmanızdan dolayı elçiyi de, sizi de (yurtlarınızdan) sürüp-çıkarmışlardır. Eğer siz, Benim yolumda cihad etmek ve Benim rızamı aramak amacıyla çıkmışsanız (nasıl) onlara karşı hala sevgi gizliyorsunuz? Ben, sizin gizlediklerinizi ve açığa vurduklarınızı bilirim. Kim sizden bunu yaparsa, artık o, elbette yolun ortasından şaşırıp-sapmış olur

Yusuf AliO ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as friends (or protectors),- offering them (your) love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Prophet and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in God your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path

Saheeh InternationalIf they gain dominance over you, they would be to you as enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve

Ali BulaçEğer sizi ele geçirecek olurlarsa, size düşman kesilirler, ellerini ve dillerini kötülükle size uzatırlar. Onlar sizin inkar etmenizi içten arzu etmişlerdir

Yusuf AliIf they were to get the better of you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you for evil: and they desire that ye should reject the Truth

Saheeh InternationalNever will your relatives or your children benefit you; the Day of Resurrection He will judge between you. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing

Ali BulaçNe yakın akrabalarınız, ne çocuklarınız kıyamet günü size bir yarar sağlayamaz. (Allah) Sizin aranızı ayıracaktır. Allah, yaptıklarınızı görendir

Yusuf AliOf no profit to you will be your relatives and your children on the Day of Judgment: He will judge between you: for God sees well all that ye do

Saheeh InternationalThere has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination

Ali Bulaçİbrahim ve onunla birlikte olanlarda size güzel bir örnek vardır. Hani kendi kavimlerine demişlerdi ki: "Biz, sizlerden ve Allah'ın dışında taptıklarınızdan gerçekten uzağız. Sizi (artık) tanımayıp-inkar ettik. Sizinle aramızda, siz Allah'a bir olarak iman edinceye kadar ebedi bir düşmanlık ve bir kin baş göstermiştir." Ancak İbrahim'in babasına: "Sana bağışlanma dileyeceğim, ama Allah'tan gelecek herhangi bir şeye karşı senin için gücüm yetmez." demesi hariç. Yusuf AliThere is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides God: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in God and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from God." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trus t, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal

Saheeh InternationalOur Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise

Ali BulaçRabbimiz, bizi inkar edenler için fitne (deneme konusu) kılma ve bizi bağışla Rabbimiz. Şüphesiz Sen, üstün ve güçlüsün, hüküm ve hikmet sahibisin

Yusuf AliOur Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial for the Unbelievers, but forgive us, our Lord! for Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise

Saheeh InternationalThere has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy

Ali BulaçAndolsun, onlarda sizlere, Allah'ı ve ahiret gününü umud edenlere güzel bir örnek vardır. Kim yüz çevirecek olursa, artık şüphesiz Allah, Ğaniy (hiçbir şeye ihtiyacı olmayan), Hamid (övülmeye layık olan)dır

Yusuf AliThere was indeed in them an excellent example for you to follow,- for those whose hope is in God and in the Last Day. But if any turn away, truly God is Free of all Wants, Worthy of all Praise

Saheeh InternationalPerhaps Allah will put, between you and those to whom you have been enemies among them, affection. And Allah is competent, and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful

Ali BulaçBelki Allah, sizlerle onlardan kendilerine karşı düşmanlık besledikleriniz arasında bir sevgi-bağı kılar. Allah, güç yetirendir. Allah, çok bağışlayandır, çok esirgeyendir

Yusuf AliIt may be that God will grant love (and friendship) between you and those whom ye (now) hold as enemies. For God has power (over all things); And God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

Saheeh InternationalAllah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly

Ali BulaçAllah, sizinle din konusunda savaşmayan, sizi yurtlarınızdan sürüp-çıkarmayanlara iyilik yapmanızdan ve onlara adaletli davranmanızdan sizi sakındırmaz. Çünkü Allah, adalet yapanları sever

Yusuf AliGod forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loveth those who are just

Saheeh InternationalAllah only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion - [forbids] that you make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers

Yusuf AliGod only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these cir cumstances), that do wrong

Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give the disbelievers what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise

Ali BulaçEy iman edenler, mü'min kadınlar hicret ederek size geldikleri zaman, onları imtihan edin. Allah, onların imanlarını daha iyi bilendir. Şayet (gerçekten) mü'min kadınlar olduklarını bilip-öğrenirseniz, artık sakın onları kafirlere geri çevirmeyin. (Çünkü) Ne bunlar onlara helaldir, ne onlar bunlara helaldir. Onlara (kafir kocalarına kendileri için) harcadıklarını verin. Onlara (hicret eden mü'min kadınlara) ücretlerini (mehirlerini) verdiğiniz takdirde onları nikahlamanızda size bir güçlük yoktur. Kafir (kadın)ların ismetlerini (nikahlarını) tutmayın ve (onlar için) harcadıklarınızı isteyin. Onlar da (mü'min kadınlara) harcadıklarını istesinler. Bu, Allah'ın hükmüdür; sizin aranızda hükmeder. Allah, bilendir, hüküm ve hikmet sahibidir

Yusuf AliO ye who believe! When there come to you believing women refugees, examine (and test) them: God knows best as to their Faith: if ye ascertain that they are Believers, then send them not back to the Unbelievers. They are not lawful (wives) for the Unbelievers, nor are the (Unbelievers) lawful (husbands) for them. But pay the Unbelievers what they have spent (on their dower), and there will be no blame on you if ye marry them on payment of their dower to them. But hold not to the guardianshi p of unbelieving women: ask for what ye have spent on their dowers, and let the (Unbelievers) ask for what they have spent (on the dowers of women who come over to you). Such is the command of God: He judges (with justice) between you. And God is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom

Saheeh InternationalAnd if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers

Ali BulaçVe eğer eşlerinizden (kafirlere kaçmalarından dolayı) herhangi bir şey kafirlere geçer, böylece siz de (savaşta onları yenip) ganimete kavuşursanız, eşleri (kaçıp) gidenlere (mehir olarak) harcama yaptıklarının bir mislini verin. Kendisi'ne iman ettiğiniz Allah'tan sakının

Yusuf AliAnd if any of your wives deserts you to the Unbelievers, and ye have an accession (by the coming over of a woman from the other side), then pay to those whose wives have deserted the equivalent of what they had spent (on their dower). And fear God, in Whom ye believe

Saheeh InternationalO Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs, nor will they disobey you in what is right - then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful

Ali BulaçEy Peygamber, mü'min kadınlar, Allah'a hiçbir şeyi ortak koşmamak, hırsızlık yapmamak, zina etmemek, çocuklarını öldürmemek, elleri ve ayakları arasında bir iftira düzüp-uydurmamak (gayri meşru olan bir çocuğu kocalarına dayandırmamak), ma'ruf (iyi, güzel ve yararlı bir iş) konusunda isyan etmemek üzere, sana biat etmek amacıyla geldikleri zaman, onların biatlarını kabul et ve onlar için Allah'tan mağfiret iste. Şüphesiz Allah, çok bağışlayandır, çok esirgeyendir

Yusuf AliO Prophet! When believing women come to thee to take the oath of fealty to thee, that they will not associate in worship any other thing whatever with God, that they will not steal, that they will not commit adultery (or fornication), that they will not kill their children, that they will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood, and that they will not disobey thee in any just matter,- then do thou receive their fealty, and pray to God for the forgiveness (of their sins): for God i s Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the inhabitants of the graves

Ali BulaçEy iman edenler, Allah'ın kendilerine karşı gazablandığı bir kavmi veli (dost ve müttefik) edinmeyin; ki onlar, kafirlerin mezar halkından umut kesmeleri gibi ahiretten umut kesmişlerdir

Yusuf AliO ye who believe! Turn not (for friendship) to people on whom is the Wrath of God, of the Hereafter they are already in despair, just as the Unbelievers are in despair about those (buried) in graves
