64. At-Taghaabun سُورَةُ التَّغَابُنِ
Saheeh InternationalWhatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah. To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs [all] praise, and He is over all things competent
Yusuf AliWhatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of God: to Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise: and He has power over all things
«يسبح لله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض» ينزهه فاللام زائدة، وأتى بما دون من تغليبا للأكثر «له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير».
Saheeh InternationalIt is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing
Yusuf AliIt is He Who has created you; and of you are some that are Unbelievers, and some that are Believers: and God sees well all that ye do
«هو الذي خلقكم فمنكم كافر ومنكم مؤمن» في أصل الخلقة ثم يميتكم ويعيدكم على ذلك «والله بما تعملون بصير».
Saheeh InternationalHe created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination
Yusuf AliHe has created the heavens and the earth in just proportions, and has given you shape, and made your shapes beautiful: and to Him is the final Goal
«خلق السماوات والأرض بالحق وصوركم فأحسن صوركم» إذ جعل شكل الآدمي أحسن الأشكال «وإليه المصير».
Saheeh InternationalHe knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts
Yusuf AliHe knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yea, God knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts
«يعلم ما في السماوات والأرض ويعلم ما تسرون وما تعلنون والله عليم بذات الصدور» بما فيها من الأسرار والمعتقدات.
Saheeh InternationalHas there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment
Yusuf AliHas not the story reached you, of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their conduct; and they had a grievous Penalty
«ألم يأتكم» يا كفار مكة «نبأُ» خبر «الذين كفروا من قبل فذاقوا وبال أمرهم» عقوبة الكفر في الدنيا «ولهم» في الآخرة «عذاب أليم» مؤلم.
Saheeh InternationalThat is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Shall human beings guide us?" and disbelieved and turned away. And Allah dispensed [with them]; and Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy
Yusuf AliThat was because there came to them apostles with Clear Signs, but they said: "Shall (mere) human beings direct us?" So they rejected (the Message) and turned away. But God can do without (them): and God is free of all needs, worthy of all pra ise
«ذلك» أي عذاب الدنيا «بأنه» ضمير الشأن «كانت تأتيهم رسلهم بالبينات» الحجج الظاهرات على الإيمان «فقالوا أبَشَرٌ» أريد به الجنس «يهدوننا فكفروا وتولوْا» عن الإيمان «واستغنى الله» عن إيمانهم «والله غني» عن خلقه «حميد» محمود في أفعاله.
Saheeh InternationalThose who disbelieve have claimed that they will never be resurrected. Say, "Yes, by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did. And that, for Allah, is easy
Yusuf AliThe Unbelievers think that they will not be raised up (for Judgment). Say: "Yea, By my Lord, Ye shall surely be raised up: then shall ye be told (the truth) of all that ye did. And that is easy for God
«زعم الذين كفروا أن» مخففة واسمها محذوف، أي أنهم «لن يبعثوا قل بلى وربي لتبعثن ثم لتنبؤن بما عملتم وذلك على الله يسير».
Saheeh InternationalSo believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Qur'an which We have sent down. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do
Yusuf AliBelieve, therefore, in God and His Apostle, and in the Light which we have sent down. And God is well acquainted with all that ye do
«فآمنوا بالله ورسوله والنور» القرآن «الذي أنزلنا والله بما تعملون خبير».
Saheeh InternationalThe Day He will assemble you for the Day of Assembly - that is the Day of Deprivation. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness - He will remove from him his misdeeds and admit him to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment
Yusuf AliThe Day that He assembles you (all) for a Day of Assembly,- that will be a Day of mutual loss and gain (among you), and those who believe in God and work righteousness,- He will remove from them their ills, and He will admit them to Gardens be neath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: that will be the Supreme Achievement
اذكر «يوم يجمعكم ليوم الجمع» يوم القيامة «ذلك يوم التغابن» يغبن المؤمنون الكافرين بأخذ منازلهم وأهليهم في الجنة لو آمنوا «ومن يؤمن بالله ويعمل صالحا يكفر عنه سيئاته ويدخله» وفي قراءة بالنون في الفعلين «جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار خالدين فيها أبدا ذلك الفوز العظيم».
Saheeh InternationalBut the ones who disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of the Fire, abiding eternally therein; and wretched is the destination
Yusuf AliBut those who reject Faith and treat Our Signs as falsehoods, they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein for aye: and evil is that Goal
«والذين كفروا وكذبوا بآياتنا» القرآن «أولئك أصحاب النار خالدين فيها وبئس المصير» هي.
Saheeh InternationalNo disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things
Yusuf AliNo kind of calamity can occur, except by the leave of God: and if any one believes in God, (God) guides his heart (aright): for God knows all things
«ما أصاب من مصيبة إلا بإذن الله» بقضائه «ومن يؤمن بالله» في قوله إن المصيبة بقضائه «يهد قلبه» للصبر عليها «والله بكل شىء عليم».
Saheeh InternationalAnd obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon Our Messenger is only [the duty of] clear notification
Yusuf AliSo obey God, and obey His Apostle: but if ye turn back, the duty of Our Apostle is but to proclaim (the Message) clearly and openly
«وأطيعوا الله وأطيعوا الرسول فإن توليتم فإنما على رسولنا البلاغ المبين» البيَّن.
Saheeh InternationalAllah - there is no deity except Him. And upon Allah let the believers rely
Yusuf AliGod! There is no god but He: and on God, therefore, let the Believers put their trust
«الله لا إله إلا هو وعلى الله فليتوكل المؤمنون».
Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
Yusuf AliO ye who believe! Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
«يا أيها الذين آمنوا إن من أزواجكم وأولادكم عدوّا لكم فاحذروهم» أن تطيعوهم في التخلف عن الخير كالجهاد والهجرة فإن سبب نزول الآية الإطاعة في ذلك «وإن تعفوا» عنهم في تثبيطهم إياكم عن ذلك الخير معتلين بمشقة فراقكم عليهم «وتصفحوا وتغفروا فإن الله غفور رحيم».
Saheeh InternationalYour wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward
Yusuf AliYour riches and your children may be but a trial: but in the Presence of God, is the highest, Reward
«إنما أموالكم وأولادكم فتنة» لكم شاغلة عن أمور الآخرة «والله عنده أجر عظيم» فلا تفوتوه باشتغالكم بالأموال والأولاد.
Saheeh InternationalSo fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful
Yusuf AliSo fear God as much as ye can; listen and obey and spend in charity for the benefit of your own soul and those saved from the covetousness of their own souls,- they are the ones that achieve prosperity
«فاتقوا الله ما استطعتم» ناسخة لقوله (اتقوا الله حق تقاته) «واسمعوا» ما أُمرتم به سماع قبول «وأطيعوا وأنفقوا» في الطاعة «خيرا لأنفسكم» خبر يكن مقدرة جواب الأمر «ومن يوق شح نفسه فأولئك هم المفلحون» الفائزون.
Saheeh InternationalIf you loan Allah a goodly loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. And Allah is Most Appreciative and Forbearing
Yusuf AliIf ye loan to God, a beautiful loan, He will double it to your (credit), and He will grant you Forgiveness: for God is most Ready to appreciate (service), Most Forbearing
«إن تقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا» بأن تتصدقوا عن طيب قلب «يضاعفه لكم» وفي قراءة يضعفه بالتشديد بالواحدة عشرا إلى سبعمائة وأكثر «ويغفر لكم» ما يشاء «والله شكور» مجاز على الطاعة «حليم» في العقاب على المعصية.
Saheeh InternationalKnower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Wise
Yusuf AliKnower of what is open, Exalted in Might, Full of Wisdom
«عالم الغيب» السر «والشهادة» العلانية «العزيز» في ملكه «الحكيم» في صنعه.
