71. Nooh سُورَةُ نُوحٍ

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment

Yusuf AliWe sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGerçekten biz Nûh'u kavmine gönderdik, "kavmine acı bir azap gelmezden önce onları uyar" diye

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner

Yusuf AliHe said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open

Saheeh International[Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me

Yusuf AliThat ye should worship God, fear Him and obey me

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırŞöyle ki, "Allah'a kulluk edin, ondan korkun ve bana itaat edin

Saheeh InternationalAllah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew

Yusuf AliSo He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by God is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGünahlarınızı bağışlasın ve sizi belli bir süreye kadar ertelesin. Kuşkusuz Allah'ın takdir ettiği süre gelince ertelenmez. Eğer bilseydiniz.." (inanırdınız)

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day

Yusuf AliHe said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırNûh dedi ki: "Ey Rabbim! Ben kavmimi gece gündüz davet ettim

Saheeh InternationalBut my invitation increased them not except in flight

Yusuf AliBut my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right)

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırFakat benim çağırmam, onların sadece kaçmalarını artırdı

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance

Yusuf AliAnd every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance

Saheeh InternationalThen I invited them publicly

Yusuf AliSo I have called to them aloud

Yusuf AliFurther I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private

Saheeh InternationalHe will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers

Yusuf AliHe will send rain to you in abundance

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÜzerinize gökten bol yağmur yağdırsın

Saheeh InternationalAnd give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers

Yusuf AliGive you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water)

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMallar ve oğullar vererek sizin imdadınıza koşsun. Sizin için bahçeler yapsın, ırmaklar yapsın

Saheeh InternationalWhat is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur

Yusuf AliWhat is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in God

Saheeh InternationalWhile He has created you in stages

Yusuf AliSeeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOysa o sizi aşama aşama yaratmıştır

Saheeh InternationalDo you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers

Yusuf AliSee ye not how God has created the seven heavens one above another

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGörmediniz mi Allah yedi göğü uygun tabakalar halinde nasıl yaratmış

Saheeh InternationalAnd made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp

Yusuf AliAnd made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe Ay'ı bunların içinde bir nur yapmış, güneşi de bir lamba kılmış

Saheeh InternationalAnd Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth

Yusuf AliAnd God has produced you from the earth growing (gradually)

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah sizi yerden bir bitki bitirir gibi bitirdi

Saheeh InternationalThen He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction

Yusuf AliAnd in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)

Saheeh InternationalAnd Allah has made for you the earth an expanse

Yusuf AliAnd God has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out)

Saheeh InternationalThat you may follow therein roads of passage

Yusuf AliThat ye may go about therein, in spacious roads

Saheeh InternationalNoah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss

Yusuf AliNoah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırNûh dedi ki: "Ey Rabbim! Onlar bana isyan ettiler; malı ve çocuğu hüsrandan başka bir şeyini artırmayan kimsenin ardına düştüler

Saheeh InternationalAnd they conspired an immense conspiracy

Yusuf AliAnd they have devised a tremendous Plot

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBüyük büyük tuzaklar kurdular

Saheeh InternationalAnd said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr

Yusuf AliAnd they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDediler ki: "Sakın tanrılarınızı bırakmayın, ne Vedd'i, ne Suva'ı ve ne de Yeğus'u, Yeûk'u ve Nesr'i

Saheeh InternationalAnd already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error

Yusuf AliThey have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong- doers but in straying (from their mark)

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÇok kişiyi yoldan saptırdılar. Sen de o zalimlerin sadece şaşkınlıklarını artır

Saheeh InternationalBecause of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers

Yusuf AliBecause of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of God- none to help them

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHatalarından dolayı boğuldular, ateşe sokuldular, kendilerine Allah'a karşı yardımcılar da bulamadılar

Saheeh InternationalAnd Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant

Yusuf AliAnd Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırNûh dedi ki: "Yeryüzünde kafirlerden bir tek kişi bırakma

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever

Yusuf AliFor, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones

Saheeh InternationalMy Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction

Yusuf AliO my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition
