78:1
عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

Yusuf AliConcerning what are they disputing

Saheeh InternationalAbout what are they asking one another

عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

Yusuf AliConcerning the Great News

Saheeh InternationalAbout the great news

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO büyük haberden (kıyametten) mi

78:3 📚 1
ٱلَّذِي هُمۡ فِيهِ مُخۡتَلِفُونَ

Yusuf AliAbout which they cannot agree

Saheeh InternationalThat over which they are in disagreement

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKi onlar onda ayrılığa düşmektedirler

78:4
كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ

Yusuf AliVerily, they shall soon (come to) know

Saheeh InternationalNo! They are going to know

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHayır, ilerde bilecekler

78:5 📚 2
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ

Yusuf AliVerily, verily they shall soon (come to) know

Saheeh InternationalThen, no! They are going to know

78:6
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَٰدࣰ ا

Yusuf AliHave We not made the earth as a wide expanse

Saheeh InternationalHave We not made the earth a resting place

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz yeryüzünü bir beşik yapmadık mı

78:7
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd the mountains as pegs

Saheeh InternationalAnd the mountains as stakes

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDağları da birer kazık kılmadık mı

78:8
وَخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd (have We not) created you in pairs

Saheeh InternationalAnd We created you in pairs

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırSizleri çift çift yarattık

78:9
وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd made your sleep for rest

Saheeh InternationalAnd made your sleep [a means for] rest

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırUykunuzu bir dinlenme yaptık

78:10
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd made the night as a covering

Saheeh InternationalAnd made the night as clothing

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGeceyi bir örtü yaptık

78:11
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd made the day as a means of subsistence

Saheeh InternationalAnd made the day for livelihood

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGündüzü de bir geçim zamanı yaptık

78:12
وَبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعࣰ ا شِدَادࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments

Saheeh InternationalAnd constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÜstünüze yedi sağlam bina (gök) çattık

78:13
وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجࣰ ا وَهَّاجࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd placed (therein) a Light of Splendour

Saheeh InternationalAnd made [therein] a burning lamp

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİçlerine ışık saçan bir kandil astık

78:14
وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ مَآءࣰ ثَجَّاجࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance

Saheeh InternationalAnd sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYoğunlaşmış bulutlardan şarıl şarıl bir su indirdik

78:15
لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبࣰّ ا وَنَبَاتࣰ ا

Yusuf AliThat We may produce therewith corn and vegetables

Saheeh InternationalThat We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnunla taneler ve otlar çıkaralım diye

78:16
وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًا

Yusuf AliAnd gardens of luxurious growth

Saheeh InternationalAnd gardens of entwined growth

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe sarmaş dolaş bağlar bahçeler (çıkaralım diye)

78:17
إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتࣰ ا

Yusuf AliVerily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKuşkusuz o hüküm günü kararlaştırılmış bir vakit olmuştur

78:18
يَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأۡتُونَ أَفۡوَاجࣰ ا

Yusuf AliThe Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds

Saheeh InternationalThe Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO gün Sûr'a üflenir, bölük bölük gelirsiniz

78:19
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors

Saheeh InternationalAnd the heaven is opened and will become gateways

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGök de açılmış, kapı kapı olmuştur

78:20
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا

Yusuf AliAnd the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage

Saheeh InternationalAnd the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDağlar yürütülmüş, serap olmuştur

78:21
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادࣰ ا

Yusuf AliTruly Hell is as a place of ambush

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, Hell has been lying in wait

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKuşkusuz Cehennem gözetleme yeri olmuştur

78:22
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliFor the transgressors a place of destination

Saheeh InternationalFor the transgressors, a place of return

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAzgınlar için son varılacak yer olmuştur

78:23
لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحۡقَابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliThey will dwell therein for ages

Saheeh InternationalIn which they will remain for ages [unending]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOrada çağlarca kalacaklardır

78:24
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرۡدࣰ ا وَلَا شَرَابًا

Yusuf AliNothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink

Saheeh InternationalThey will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOrada ne bir serinlik tadacaklar, ne de içecek bir şey

78:25
إِلَّا حَمِيمࣰ ا وَغَسَّاقࣰ ا

Yusuf AliSave a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold

Saheeh InternationalExcept scalding water and [foul] purulence

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAncak bir kaynar su ve irin (içecekler)

78:26
جَزَآءࣰ وِفَاقًا

Yusuf AliA fitting recompense (for them)

Saheeh InternationalAn appropriate recompense

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBir ceza ki tam yaptıklarına uygun

78:27
إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ حِسَابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliFor that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds)

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, they were not expecting an account

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÇünkü onlar hiçbir hesap ummazlardı

78:28
وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliBut they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false

Saheeh InternationalAnd denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÂyetlerimizi yalanlaya yalanlaya tam bir yalancı olmuşlardı

78:29
وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ كِتَٰبࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd all things have We preserved on record

Saheeh InternationalBut all things We have enumerated in writing

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz ise herşeyi sayıp bir kitaba geçirmişiz

78:30 📚 2
فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا

Yusuf AliSo taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment

Saheeh InternationalSo taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır(Onlara): "Şimdi tadın (cezanızı). Artık size azabınızı artırmaktan başka bir şey yapmayacağız" (denir)

78:31
إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا

Yusuf AliVerily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, for the righteous is attainment

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKuşkusuz takva sahipleri için bir kurtuluş var

78:32
حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعۡنَٰبࣰ ا

Yusuf AliGardens enclosed, and grapevines

Saheeh InternationalGardens and grapevines

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBahçeler var, bağlar var

78:33
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتۡرَابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliCompanions of equal age

Saheeh InternationalAnd full-breasted [companions] of equal age

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMemeleri tomurcuklanmış yaşıt kızlar var

78:34
وَكَأۡسࣰ ا دِهَاقࣰ ا

Yusuf AliAnd a cup full (to the brim)

Saheeh InternationalAnd a full cup

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDopdolu kadehler var

78:35
لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوࣰ ا وَلَا كِذَّٰبࣰ ا

Yusuf AliNo vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth

Saheeh InternationalNo ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOrada ne boş bir söz işitirler, ne de bir yalan

78:36
جَزَآءࣰ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliRecompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient

Saheeh International[As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır(Bunlar) Rabbinden yeterli bir bağış olarak (verilir)

78:37
رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۖ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابࣰ ا

Yusuf Ali(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, (God) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him

Saheeh International[From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO, göklerin, yerin ve bu ikisi arasındakilerin Rabbidir. Rahmân'dır. Hiç kimse ondan bir hitaba mâlik olamaz

78:38 📚 2
يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفࣰّ اۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابࣰ ا

Yusuf AliThe Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by (God) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right

Saheeh InternationalThe Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO gün Ruh ve melekler sıra sıra dururlar. Rahmân'ın izin verdikleri dışında hiç kimse konuşamaz. İzin verilen de doğruyu söyler

78:39
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا

Yusuf AliThat Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord

Saheeh InternationalThat is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİşte bu hak gündür. Artık dileyen Rabbine bir yol tutar

78:40
إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابࣰ ا قَرِيبࣰ ا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢا

Yusuf AliVerily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz sizi yakın bir azap ile uyardık. O gün kişi ellerinin ne takdim ettiğine bakacak ve kâfir diyecek ki: "Ah ne olaydı, ben bir toprak olaydım
