82. Al-Infitaar سُورَةُ الانفِطَارِ
Yusuf AliWhen the Sky is cleft asunder
Saheeh InternationalWhen the sky breaks apart
«إذا السماء انفطرت» انشقت.
Yusuf AliWhen the Stars are scattered
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the stars fall, scattering
«وإذا الكواكب انتثرت» انقضت وتساقطت.
Yusuf AliWhen the Oceans are suffered to burst forth
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the seas are erupted
«وإذا البحار فُجِّرت» فتح بعضها في بعض فصارت بحرا واحدا واختلط العذب بالملح.
Yusuf AliAnd when the Graves are turned upside down
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the [contents of] graves are scattered
«وإذا القبور بُعثرت» قلب ترابها وبعث موتاها وجواب إذا وما عطف عليها.
Yusuf Ali(Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back
Saheeh InternationalA soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back
«علمت نفس» أي كل نفس وقت هذه المذكورات وهو يوم القيامة «ما قدمت» من الأعمال «و» ما «أَخَّرت» منها فلم تعمله.
Yusuf AliO man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent
Saheeh InternationalO mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous
«يا أيها الإنسان» الكافر «ما غرَّك بربك الكريم» حتى عصيته.
Yusuf AliHim Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias
Saheeh InternationalWho created you, proportioned you, and balanced you
«الذي خلقك» بعد أن لم تكن «فسوَّاك» جعلك مستوي الخلقة، سالم الأعضاء «فعدَلك» بالتخفيف والتشديد: جعلك معتدل الخلق متناسب الأعضاء ليست يد أو رجل أطول من الأخرى.
Yusuf AliIn whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together
Saheeh InternationalIn whatever form He willed has He assembled you
«في أي صورة ما» صلة «شاء ركَّبك».
Yusuf AliDay! nit ye do reject Right and Judgment
Saheeh InternationalNo! But you deny the Recompense
«كلا» ردع عن الاغترار بكرم الله تعالى «بل تكذبون» أي كفار مكة «بالدين» بالجزاء على الأعمال.
Yusuf AliBut verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you
Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers
«وإن عليكم لحافظين» من الملائكة لأعمالكم.
Yusuf AliKind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds)
Saheeh InternationalNoble and recording
«كِراما» على الله «كاتبين» لها.
Yusuf AliThey know (and understand) all that ye do
Saheeh InternationalThey know whatever you do
«يعلمون ما تفعلون» جميعه.
Yusuf AliAs for the Righteous, they will be in bliss
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
«إن الأبرار» المؤمنين الصادقين في إيمانهم «لفي نعيم» جنة.
Yusuf AliAnd the Wicked - they will be in the Fire
Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire
«وإن الفجار الكفار «لفي جحيم» نار محرقة.
Yusuf AliWhich they will enter on the Day of Judgment
Saheeh InternationalThey will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense
«يصلونها» يدخلونها ويقاسون حرَّها «يوم الدين» الجزاء.
Yusuf AliAnd they will not be able to keep away therefrom
Saheeh InternationalAnd never therefrom will they be absent
«وما هم عنها بغائبين» بمخرجين.
Yusuf AliAnd what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is
Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense
«وما أدراك» أعلمك «ما يوم الدين».
Yusuf AliAgain, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is
Saheeh InternationalThen, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense
«ثم ما أدراك ما يومُ الدين» تعظيم لشأنه.
Yusuf Ali(It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with God
Saheeh InternationalIt is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah
«يوم» بالرفع، أي هو يوم «لا تملك نفس لنفس شيئا» من المنفعة «والأمر يومئذ لله» لا أمر لغيره فيه، أي لم يمكن أحدا من التوسط فيه بخلاف الدنيا.
