92. Al-Lail سُورَةُ اللَّيۡلِ

Saheeh InternationalBy the night when it covers

Yusuf AliBy the Night as it conceals (the light)

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the day when it appears

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAçıldığı zaman gündüze

Yusuf AliBy the Day as it appears in glory

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] He who created the male and female

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırErkeği ve dişiyi yaratana and olsun ki

Yusuf AliBy (the mystery of) the creation of male and female

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, your efforts are diverse

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırGerçekten sizin işiniz başka başkadır

Yusuf AliVerily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse

Saheeh InternationalAs for he who gives and fears Allah

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBundan böyle her kim malını hayır için verir ve korunursa

Yusuf AliSo he who gives (in charity) and fears (God)

Saheeh InternationalAnd believes in the best [reward]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe en güzel olanı doğrularsa

Yusuf AliAnd (in all sincerity) testifies to the best

Saheeh InternationalWe will ease him toward ease

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBiz onu en kolay yola muvaffak kılacağız

Yusuf AliWe will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss

Saheeh InternationalBut as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKim de cimrilik eder ve kendini hiçbir şeye ihtiyacı kalmamış görür

Yusuf AliBut he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient

Saheeh InternationalAnd denies the best [reward]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVe en güzeli de yalanlarsa

Yusuf AliAnd gives the lie to the best

Saheeh InternationalWe will ease him toward difficulty

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnu da en zor yola hazırlarız

Yusuf AliWe will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery

Saheeh InternationalAnd what will his wealth avail him when he falls

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÇukura yuvarlandığı zaman malı onu kurtaramayacak

Yusuf AliNor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit)

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDoğru yolu göstermek muhakkak bize aittir

Yusuf AliVerily We take upon Ourselves to guide

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKuşkusuz ahiret de dünya da bizimdir

Yusuf AliAnd verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning

Saheeh InternationalSo I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBen sizi köpürdükçe köpüren bir ateşe karşı uyardım

Yusuf AliTherefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely

Saheeh InternationalNone will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOna ancak en azgın olan girer

Yusuf AliNone shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones

Saheeh InternationalWho had denied and turned away

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırÖyle azgın ki, yalanlamış ve sırtını dönmüştür

Yusuf AliWho give the lie to Truth and turn their backs

Saheeh InternationalBut the righteous one will avoid it

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEn çok korunan ise ondan uzaklaştırılacaktır

Yusuf AliBut those most devoted to God shall be removed far from it

Saheeh International[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO ki, Allah yolunda malını verir, temizlenir

Yusuf AliThose who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification

Saheeh InternationalAnd not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnun yanında, başka bir kimse için karşılığı verilecek hiçbir nimet yoktur

Yusuf AliAnd have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return

Saheeh InternationalBut only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırO ancak yüce Rabbinin rızasını aramak için verir

Yusuf AliBut only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High

Saheeh InternationalAnd he is going to be satisfied

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırElbette yakında kendisi de hoşnut olacaktır

Yusuf AliAnd soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction
