99. Az-Zalzala سُورَةُ الزَّلۡزَلَةِ
Saheeh InternationalWhen the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
Yusuf AliWhen the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion
«إذا زُلزلت الأرض» حركت لقيام الساعة «زلزالها» تحريكها الشديد المناسب لعظمتها.
Saheeh InternationalAnd the earth discharges its burdens
Yusuf AliAnd the earth throws up her burdens (from within)
«وأخرجت الأرض أثقالها» كنوزها وموتاها فألقتها على ظهرها.
Saheeh InternationalAnd man says, "What is [wrong] with it
Yusuf AliAnd man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her
«وقال الإنسان» الكافر بالبعث «مالها» إنكارا لتلك الحالة.
Saheeh InternationalThat Day, it will report its news
Yusuf AliOn that Day will she declare her tidings
«يومئذ» بدل من إذا وجوابها «تُحدث أخبارها» تخبر بما عمل عليها من خير وشر.
Saheeh InternationalBecause your Lord has commanded it
Yusuf AliFor that thy Lord will have given her inspiration
(بأن) بسبب أن (ربك أوحى لها) أي أمرها بذلك، وفي الحديث "" تشهد على كل عبد أو أمة بكل ما عمل على ظهرها "".
Saheeh InternationalThat Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds
Yusuf AliOn that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done)
«يومئذ يصدر الناس» ينصرفون من موقف الحساب «أشتاتا» متفرقين فآخذ ذات اليمين إلى الجنة وآخذ ذات الشمال إلى النار «ليروا أعمالهم» أي جزاءها من الجنة أو النار.
Saheeh InternationalSo whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it
Yusuf AliThen shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it
«فمن يعمل مثقال ذرة» زنة نملة صغيرة «خيرا يره» ير ثوابه.
Saheeh InternationalAnd whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it
Yusuf AliAnd anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it
«ومن يعمل مثقال ذرة شرا يره» ير جزاءه.
