63. Al-Munaafiqoon سُورَةُ المُنَافِقُونَ

Saheeh InternationalWhen the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars

Yusuf AliWhen the Hypocrites come to thee, they say, "We bear witness that thou art indeed the Apostle of God." Yea, God knoweth that thou art indeed His Apostle, and God beareth witness that the Hypocrites are indeed liars

Saheeh InternationalThey have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing

Yusuf AliThey have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of God: truly evil are their deeds

Saheeh InternationalThat is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand

Yusuf AliThat is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not

Saheeh InternationalAnd when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded

Yusuf AliWhen thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them . They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of God be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnları gördüğün zaman kalıpları hoşuna gider, konuşurlarsa sözlerini dinlersin. Onlar sanki dayanmış keresteler gibidirler. Her gürültüyü kendi aleyhlerine sanırlar. Onlar düşmandır, onlardan sakın. Allah onları kahretsin! Nasıl olup da döndürülüyorlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant

Yusuf AliAnd when it is said to them, "Come, the Apostle of God will pray for your forgiveness", they turn aside their heads, and thou wouldst see them turning away their faces in arrogance

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara: "Gelin, Allah'ın Resulü sizin için mağfiret dilesin." denildiği zaman başlarını çevirirler ve onların, büyüklük taslayarak yüz çevirdiklerini görürsün

Saheeh InternationalIt is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people

Yusuf AliIt is equal to them whether thou pray for their forgiveness or not. God will not forgive them. Truly God guides not rebellious transgressors

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara mağfiret dilesen de, dilemesen de onlar için birdir. Allah onları bağışlamayacaktır. Çünkü Allah, yoldan çıkmış bir toplumu yola iletmez

Saheeh InternationalThey are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband." And to Allah belongs the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand

Yusuf AliThey are the ones who say, "Spend nothing on those who are with God's Apostle, to the end that they may disperse (and quit Medina)." But to God belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the Hypocrites understand not

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlar öyle kimselerdir ki: "Allah'ın elçisinin yanında bulunanları beslemeyin ki dağılıp gitsinler." diyorlar. Oysa göklerin ve yerin hazineleri Allah'ındır, fakat münafıklar anlamazlar

Saheeh InternationalThey say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know

Yusuf AliThey say, "If we return to Medina, surely the more honourable (element) will expel therefrom the meaner." But honour belongs to God and His Apostle, and to the Believers; but the Hypocrites know not

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDiyorlar ki: "Andolsun, eğer Medine'ye dönersek, daha üstün olan, daha alçak olanı oradan mutlaka çıkaracaktır." Üstünlük, ancak Allah'a, O'nun elçisine ve müminlere mahsustur. Fakat münafıklar bilmezler

Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that - then those are the losers

Yusuf AliO ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of God. If any act thus, the loss is their own

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEy İnananlar! Mallarınız ve çocuklarınız sizi Allah'ı anmaktan alıkoymasın. Kim bunu yaparsa işte onlar ziyana uğrayanlardır

Saheeh InternationalAnd spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous

Yusuf Aliand spend something (in charity) out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before Death should come to any of you and he should say, "O my Lord! why didst Thou not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely ) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBirinize ölüm gelip de: "Rabbim, beni yakın bir süreye kadar erteleseydin de sadaka verip iyilerden olsaydım!" demesinden önce, size verdiğimiz rızıktan (Allah) için harcayın

Saheeh InternationalBut never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do

Yusuf AliBut to no soul will God grant respite when the time appointed (for it) has come; and God is well acquainted with (all) that ye do
