70. Al-Ma'aarij سُورَةُ المَعَارِجِ

Saheeh InternationalA supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen

Yusuf AliThe Unbelievers, the which there is none to ward off

Süleyman AteşKafirler için, ki onu savacak yoktur

Saheeh InternationalTo the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer

Yusuf Ali(A Penalty) from God, Lord of the Ways of Ascent

Saheeh International[It is] from Allah, owner of the ways of ascent

Yusuf AliThe angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years

Süleyman AteşMelekler ve Ruh, miktarı elli bin yıl süren bir gün içinde O'na çıkar

Saheeh InternationalThe angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years

Yusuf AliTherefore do thou hold Patience,- a Patience of beautiful (contentment)

Süleyman AteşŞimdi sen güzelce sabret

Saheeh InternationalSo be patient with gracious patience

Yusuf AliThey see the (Day) indeed as a far-off (event)

Süleyman AteşOnlar onu uzak görüyor(lar)

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, they see it [as] distant

Yusuf AliBut We see it (quite) near

Süleyman AteşBiz ise onu yakın görüyoruz

Saheeh InternationalBut We see it [as] near

Yusuf AliThe Day that the sky will be like molten brass

Süleyman AteşO gün gök, erimiş maden gibi olur

Saheeh InternationalOn the Day the sky will be like murky oil

Yusuf AliAnd the mountains will be like wool

Süleyman AteşDağlar, renkli yün gibi olur

Saheeh InternationalAnd the mountains will be like wool

Yusuf AliAnd no friend will ask after a friend

Süleyman AteşDost dostun halini sormaz

Saheeh InternationalAnd no friend will ask [anything of] a friend

Yusuf AliThough they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children

Süleyman AteşBirbirlerine gösterilirler (fakat herkes kendi derdine düştüğünden, başkasıyle ilgilenemez). Suçlu ister ki o günün azabından (kurtulmak için) fidye versin: Oğullarını

Saheeh InternationalThey will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children

Yusuf AliHis wife and his brother

Süleyman AteşEşini ve kardeşini

Saheeh InternationalAnd his wife and his brother

Yusuf AliHis kindred who sheltered him

Süleyman AteşKendisini barındıran, içinde yetiştiği tüm ailesini

Saheeh InternationalAnd his nearest kindred who shelter him

Yusuf AliAnd all, all that is on earth,- so it could deliver him

Süleyman AteşVe yeryüzünde bulunanların hepsini (versin) de tek kendisini kurtarsın

Saheeh InternationalAnd whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him

Yusuf AliBy no means! for it would be the Fire of Hell

Süleyman AteşHayır! O (ateş), alevlenen bir ateştir

Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, it is the Flame [of Hell]

Yusuf AliPlucking out (his being) right to the skull

Süleyman AteşDerileri kavurur, soyar

Saheeh InternationalA remover of exteriors

Yusuf AliInviting (all) such as turn their backs and turn away their faces (from the Right)

Saheeh InternationalIt invites he who turned his back [on truth] and went away [from obedience]

Yusuf AliAnd collect (wealth) and hide it (from use)

Süleyman Ateş(Mal) Toplayıp kasada yığanı

Saheeh InternationalAnd collected [wealth] and hoarded

Yusuf AliTruly man was created very impatient

Süleyman AteşDoğrusu insan hırslı (ve huysuz) yaratılmıştır

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, mankind was created anxious

Yusuf AliFretful when evil touches him

Süleyman AteşKendisine kötülük dokundu mu sızlanır

Saheeh InternationalWhen evil touches him, impatient

Yusuf AliAnd niggardly when good reaches him

Süleyman AteşKendisine hayır dokundu mu yardım etmez (sıkı sıkı tutar)

Saheeh InternationalAnd when good touches him, withholding [of it]

Yusuf AliNot so those devoted to Prayer

Süleyman AteşAncak namaz kılanlar bunun dışındadır

Saheeh InternationalExcept the observers of prayer

Yusuf AliThose who remain steadfast to their prayer

Süleyman AteşOnlar ki: Namazlarını sürekli kılarlar (aksatmazlar)

Saheeh InternationalThose who are constant in their prayer

Yusuf AliAnd those in whose wealth is a recognised right

Süleyman AteşOnların mallarında belli bir hisse vardır

Saheeh InternationalAnd those within whose wealth is a known right

Yusuf AliFor the (needy) who asks and him who is prevented (for some reason from asking)

Süleyman AteşSaile ve mahruma (isteyene ve utancından dolayı istemeyip mahrum kalana)

Saheeh InternationalFor the petitioner and the deprived

Yusuf AliAnd those who hold to the truth of the Day of Judgment

Süleyman AteşCeza gününü tasdik ederler

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who believe in the Day of Recompense

Yusuf AliAnd those who fear the displeasure of their Lord

Süleyman AteşRablerinin azabından korkarlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord

Yusuf AliFor their Lord's displeasure is the opposite of Peace and Tranquillity

Süleyman AteşÇünkü Rablerinin azabına güven olmaz

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe

Yusuf AliAnd those who guard their chastity

Süleyman AteşIrzlarını korurlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who guard their private parts

Yusuf AliExcept with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed

Süleyman AteşYalnız eşlerine, ya da ellerinin altında bulunan(cariyelerin)e karşı (korumazlar. Bundan ötürü de) onlar kınanmazlar

Saheeh InternationalExcept from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed

Yusuf AliBut those who trespass beyond this are transgressors

Süleyman AteşAma kim bundan ötesini ararsa, onlar (sınırı) aşanlardır

Saheeh InternationalBut whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors

Yusuf AliAnd those who respect their trusts and covenants

Süleyman AteşEmanetlerini ve ahidlerini gözetirler

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who are to their trusts and promises attentive

Yusuf AliAnd those who stand firm in their testimonies

Süleyman AteşŞahidliklerini yaparlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who are in their testimonies upright

Yusuf AliAnd those who guard (the sacredness) of their worship

Süleyman AteşNamazlarını korurlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who [carefully] maintain their prayer

Yusuf AliSuch will be the honoured ones in the Gardens (of Bliss)

Süleyman Ateşİşte onlar cennetlerde ağırlanırlar

Saheeh InternationalThey will be in gardens, honored

Yusuf AliNow what is the matter with the Unbelievers that they rush madly before thee

Süleyman AteşNankörlere ne oluyur ki sana doğru koşuyorlar

Saheeh InternationalSo what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad]

Yusuf AliFrom the right and from the left, in crowds

Süleyman AteşSağdan, soldan, ayrı ayrı gruplar halinde (gelip etrafını sarıyorlar)

Saheeh International[To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups

Yusuf AliDoes every man of them long to enter the Garden of Bliss

Süleyman AteşOnlardan her biri, ni'met cennetine sokulacağını mı umuyor

Saheeh InternationalDoes every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure

Yusuf AliBy no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know

Süleyman AteşHayır! Öyle şey yok! Biz onları bildikleri şeyden yarattık

Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know

Yusuf AliNow I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly

Saheeh InternationalSo I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able

Yusuf AliSubstitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan)

Süleyman AteşOnları, kendilerinden daha hayırlı olanlarla değiştirmeğe. Bizim önümüze geçilmez (bize engel olunamaz)

Saheeh InternationalTo replace them with better than them; and We are not to be outdone

Yusuf AliSo leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised

Süleyman AteşBırak onları kendilerine va'dedilen günlerine kavuşuncaya kadar dalsın, oynasınlar

Saheeh InternationalSo leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised

Yusuf AliThe Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them)

Süleyman AteşO gün kabirlerden hızlı hızlı çıkarlar. Onlar dikilen(putlara yahut hedef)lere doğru koşar gibi (koşarlar)

Saheeh InternationalThe Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening

Yusuf AliTheir eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised

Süleyman AteşGözleri düşük, yüzlerini alçaklık bürümüş bir durumda. İşte onlara va'dedilen gün, bugündür

Saheeh InternationalTheir eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised
