72. Al-Jinn سُورَةُ الجِنِّ

Saheeh InternationalSay, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an

Yusuf AliSay: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital

Diyanet İşleri MealiDe ki: "Cinlerden bir topluluğun Kuran'ı dinlediği bana vahyolundu; onlar şöyle demişlerdir;" "Doğrusu biz, doğru yola götüren, hayrete düşüren bir Kuran dinledik de ona inandık; biz, Rabbimize hiçbir şeyi ortak koşmayacağız

Saheeh InternationalIt guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone

Yusuf AliIt gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord

Diyanet İşleri MealiDe ki: "Cinlerden bir topluluğun Kuran'ı dinlediği bana vahyolundu; onlar şöyle demişlerdir;" "Doğrusu biz, doğru yola götüren, hayrete düşüren bir Kuran dinledik de ona inandık; biz, Rabbimize hiçbir şeyi ortak koşmayacağız

Saheeh InternationalAnd [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son

Yusuf AliAnd Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu Rabbimizin yüceliği her yücelikten üstündür. O, zevce ve çocuk edinmemiştir

Saheeh InternationalAnd that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression

Yusuf AliThere were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against God

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu aramızdaki beyinsiz, Allah'a karşı yalanlar uyduruyordu

Saheeh InternationalAnd we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie

Yusuf AliBut we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against God

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu insanların ve cinlerin Allah'a karşı yalan uydurabileceklerini sanmazdık

Saheeh InternationalAnd there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden

Yusuf AliTrue, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly

Diyanet İşleri MealiGerçekten, bir takım insanlar, cinlerin bir takımına sığınırlardı da onların azgınlıklarını artırırlardı

Saheeh InternationalAnd they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger]

Yusuf AliAnd they (came to) think as ye thought, that God would not raise up any one (to Judgment)

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu, onlar da sizin, Allah'ın kimseyi yeniden diriltmeyeceğinizi sandığınız gibi sanıda bulunmuşlardı

Saheeh InternationalAnd we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames

Yusuf AliAnd we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu biz göğü yokladık; onu sert bekçiler ve kayan ateşlerle (ışınlarla) doldurulmuş bulduk

Saheeh InternationalAnd we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him

Yusuf AliWe used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu biz, göğün dinleyebileceğimiz bir yerinde otururduk; ama şimdi kim dinleyecek olsa, kendisini gözleyen bir ateş (ışın) buluyor

Saheeh InternationalAnd we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course

Yusuf AliAnd we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct

Diyanet İşleri MealiYeryüzünde olanlara kötülük mü murad edildi, yahut Rableri onlara bir iyilik mi dilemiştir, doğrusu biz bilemeyiz

Saheeh InternationalAnd among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways

Yusuf AliThere are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths

Diyanet İşleri MealiDoğrusu aramızda iyiler de vardır, bundan aşağı bulunanlar da vardır. Biz, türlü türlü yolda olan topluluklardık

Saheeh InternationalAnd we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight

Yusuf AliBut we think that we can by no means frustrate God throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight

Diyanet İşleri MealiYeryüzünde kalsak da Allah'ı aciz bırakamayacağımız, başka yere kaçsak da, O'nu aciz kılamayacağımız gerçeğini şüphesiz anladık

Saheeh InternationalAnd when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden

Yusuf AliAnd as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice

Diyanet İşleri MealiŞüphesiz, doğruluk rehberi olan Kuran'ı dinlediğimizde ona inandık; kim Rabbine inanırsa, o, ecrinin eksiltileceğinden ve kendisine haksızlık edileceğinden korkmaz

Saheeh InternationalAnd among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course

Yusuf AliAmongst us are some that submit their wills (to God), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct

Diyanet İşleri Mealiİçimizde, kendini Allah'a vermiş olanlar da, yazık edenler de vardır. Kendini Allah'a veren kimseler, işte onlar, doğru yolu arayanlar, ona layık olanlardır

Saheeh InternationalBut as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood

Yusuf AliBut those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire

Diyanet İşleri MealiKendilerine yazık edenlere gelince; onlar, cehennemin odunları oldular

Saheeh InternationalAnd [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision

Yusuf Ali(And God's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance

Diyanet İşleri MealiAma doğru yola girmiş olsalardı, onları bu hususta denememiz için onlara bol su içirirdik; kim Rabbini anmaktan yüz çevirirse, Rabbi onu gittikçe artan bir azaba uğratır

Saheeh InternationalSo We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment

Yusuf AliThat We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty

Saheeh InternationalAnd [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone

Yusuf AliAnd the places of worship are for God (alone): So invoke not any one along with God

Diyanet İşleri MealiMescidler şüphesiz Allah'ındır, öyleyse oralarda Allah'a yalvarırken başkasını katmayın

Saheeh InternationalAnd that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass

Yusuf AliYet when the Devotee of God stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd

Diyanet İşleri MealiAllah'ın kulu Muhammed, O'na yalvarmak, namaz kılmak için kalkınca, nerdeyse, çevresinde keçeleşirler, birbirlerine girerlerdi

Saheeh InternationalSay, [O Muhammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone

Yusuf AliSay: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)

Diyanet İşleri MealiDe ki: "Ben sadece Rabbime yalvarırım ve O'na kimseyi ortak koşmam

Saheeh InternationalSay, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction

Yusuf AliSay: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct

Diyanet İşleri MealiDe ki: "Ben size zarar vermeye de iyilik yapmaya da kadir değilim

Saheeh InternationalSay, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge

Yusuf AliSay: "No one can deliver me from God (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him

Diyanet İşleri MealiDe ki: "Beni kimse Allah'a karşı savunamaz ve ben O'ndan başka bir sığınak bulamam

Saheeh InternationalBut [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever

Yusuf AliUnless I proclaim what I receive from God and His Messages: for any that disobey God and His Apostle,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever

Diyanet İşleri MealiBenim yaptığım yalnız, Allah katından olanı, O'nun gönderdiklerini tebliğdir. Allah'a ve Peygamberine kim karşı gelirse ona, içinde sonsuz ve temelli kalınacak cehennem ateşi vardır

Saheeh International[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number

Yusuf AliAt length, when they see (with their own eyes) that which they are promised,- then will they know who it is that is weakest in (his) helper and least important in point of numbers

Diyanet İşleri MealiSonunda, kendilerine söz verileni gördükleri zaman, kimin yardımcısının daha güçsüz ve sayısının daha az olduğunu bileceklerdir

Saheeh InternationalSay, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period

Yusuf AliSay: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term

Diyanet İşleri MealiDe ki: Size söz verilen yakın mıdır, yoksa Rabbim onu uzun süreli mi kılmıştır ben bilmem

Saheeh International[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone

Yusuf AliHe (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries

Diyanet İşleri MealiGörülmeyeni bilen Allah, görülmeyene kimseyi muttali kılmaz

Saheeh InternationalExcept whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers

Yusuf AliExcept an apostle whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him

Saheeh InternationalThat he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number

Yusuf AliThat He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing
