«يا أيها المدثر» النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصله المتدثر أدغمت التاء في الدال، أي المتلفف بثيابه عند نزول الوحي عليه.

«قم فأنذر» خوِّف أهل مكة النار إن لم يؤمنوا.

«وثيابك فطهر» عن النجاسة أو قصرها خلاف جر العرب ثيابهم خيلاء فربما أصابتها نجاسة.

Saheeh InternationalAnd uncleanliness avoid
«والرُّجز» فسره النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالأوثان «فاهجر» أي دم على هجره.
Süleyman AteşVerdiğini çok bularak başa kakma
Saheeh InternationalAnd do not confer favor to acquire more
«ولا تمنن تستكثر» بالرفع حال، أي لا تعط شيئا لتطلب أكثر منه وهذا خاص به صلى الله عليه وسلم لأنه مأمور بأجمل الأخلاق وأشرف الآداب.

Saheeh InternationalBut for your Lord be patient
«ولربك فاصبر» على الأوامر والنواهي.
Süleyman AteşSur'a üflendiği zaman
Saheeh InternationalAnd when the trumpet is blown
«فإذا نقر في الناقور» نفخ في الصور وهو القرن النفخة الثانية.
Süleyman Ateşİşte o gün, çetin bir gündür
Saheeh InternationalThat Day will be a difficult day
«فذلك» أي وقت النقر «يومئذ» بدل مما قبله المبتدأ وبني لإضافته إلى غير متمكن وخبر المبتدأ «يوم عسير» والعامل في إذا ما دلت عليه الجملة اشتد الأمر.

Saheeh InternationalFor the disbelievers - not easy
«على الكافرين غير يسير» فيه دلالة على أنه يسير على المؤمنين في عسره.
Süleyman AteşBenimle şu adamı yalnız bırak ki ben onu tek olarak yarattım
Saheeh InternationalLeave Me with the one I created alone
«ذرني» اتركني «ومن خلقت» عطف على المفعول أو مفعول معه «وحيدا» حال من مَن أو من ضميره المحذوف من خلقت منفردا بلا أهل ولا مال هو الوليد بن المغيرة المخزومي.
Süleyman AteşOna uzun boylu mal verdim
Saheeh InternationalAnd to whom I granted extensive wealth
«وجعلت له مالا ممدودا» واسعا متصلا من الزروع والضروع والتجارة.
Süleyman AteşGöz önünde oğullar (verdim)
Saheeh InternationalAnd children present [with him]
«وبنين» عشرة أو أكثر «شهودا» يشهدون المحافل وتسمع شهاداتهم.
Süleyman AteşKendisine bir döşeyiş döşedim
Saheeh InternationalAnd spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]
«ومهدت» بسطت «له» في العيش والعمر والولد «تمهيدا».
Süleyman AteşHala daha da artırmama göz dikiyor
Saheeh InternationalThen he desires that I should add more
«ثم يطمع أن أزيد».
Süleyman AteşHayır, çünkü o bizim ayetlerimize karşı bir inatçı kesildi
Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses obstinate
«كلا» لا أزيده على ذلك «إنه كان لآياتنا» القرآن «عنيدا» معاندا.
Süleyman AteşOnu dimdik bir yokuşa sardıracağım
Saheeh InternationalI will cover him with arduous torment
«سأرهقه» أكلفه «صعودا» مشقة من العذاب أو جبلا من نار يصعد فيه ثم يهوي أبدا.
Süleyman AteşZira o düşündü, ölçtü, biçti
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, he thought and deliberated
«إنه فكر» فيما يقول في القرآن الذي سمعه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم «وقدر» في نفسه ذلك.

Saheeh InternationalSo may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated
«فقتل» لعن وعذب «كيف قدر» على أي حال كان تقديره.

«ثم قتل كيف قدر».

«ثم نظر» في وجوه قومه أو فيما يقدح به فيه.
Süleyman AteşSonra surat astı, kaşlarını çattı
Saheeh InternationalThen he frowned and scowled
«ثم عبس» قبض وجهه وكلحه ضيقا بما يقول «وبسر» زاد في القبض والكلوح.
Süleyman AteşSonra arkasını döndü, böbürlendi
Saheeh InternationalThen he turned back and was arrogant
«ثم أدبر» عن الإيمان «واستكبر» تكبر عن اتباع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Süleyman AteşBu dedi, rivayet edilip öğretilen bir büyüden başka bir şey değildir
Saheeh InternationalAnd said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others]
«فقال» فيما جاء به «إن» ما «هذا إلا سحر يؤثر» ينقل عن السحرة.
Süleyman AteşBu, sadece, bir insan sözüdür
Saheeh InternationalThis is not but the word of a human being
ما «إن هذا إلا قول البشر» كما قالوا إنما يعلمه بشر.
Süleyman AteşOnu Sekar'a sokacağım
Saheeh InternationalI will drive him into Saqar
«سأصليه» أُدخله «سقر» جهنم.
Süleyman AteşSekar'ın ne olduğunu sen nereden bileceksin
Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is Saqar
«وما أدراك ما سقر» تعظيم شأنها.
Süleyman Ateş(Geride bir şey) Komaz, bırakmaz (her şeyi yakıp yok eder)
Saheeh InternationalIt lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned]
«لا تبقي ولا تذر» شيئا من لحم ولا عصب إلا أهلكته ثم يعود كما كان.

«لواحة للبشر» محرقة لظاهر الجلد.
Süleyman AteşÜzerinde ondokuz (muhafız) vardır
Saheeh InternationalOver it are nineteen [angels]
«عليها تسعة عشر» ملكا خزنتها قال بعض الكفار وكان قويا شديد البأس أنا أكفيكم سبعة عشر واكفوني أنتم اثنين قال تعالى:
Süleyman AteşBiz cehennemin muhafızlarını hep melekler yaptık. Onların sayısını da inkar edenler için bir sınav yaptık ki, kendilerine Kitap verilmiş olanlar iyice inansın, inananların da imanı artsın. Kitap verilmiş olanlar ve inananlar kuşkulanmasınlar. Kalblerinde hastalık bulunanlar ve kafirler de: "Allah bu misalle ne demek istedi?" desinler. Böylece Allah, dilediğini şaşırtır, dilediğni doğru yola iletir. Rabbinin ordularını ancak kendisi bilir. Bu, insanlara bir uyarıdır
Saheeh InternationalAnd We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity
«وما جعلنا أصحاب النار إلا ملائكة» أي فلا يطاقون كما يتوهمون «وما جعلنا عدتهم» ذلك «إلا فتنة» ضلالا «للذين كفروا» بأن يقولوا لم كانوا تسعة عشر «ليستيقن» ليستبين «الذين أوتوا الكتاب» أي اليهود صدق النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في كونهم تسعة عشر الموافق لما في كتابهم «ويزداد الذين آمنوا» من أهل الكتاب «إيمانا» تصديقا لموافقته ما أتي به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لما في كتابهم «ولا يرتاب الذين أُوتوا الكتاب والمؤمنون» من غيرهم في عدد الملائكة «وليقول الذين في قلوبهم مرض» شك بالمدينة «والكافرون» بمكة «ماذا أراد الله بهذا» العدد «مثلا» سموه لغرابته بذلك وأعرب حالا «كذلك» أي مثل إضلال منكر هذا العدد وهدى مصدقه «يضل الله من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء وما يعلم جنود ربك» أي الملائكة في قوتهم وأعوانهم «إلا هو وما هي» أي سقر «إلا ذكرى للبشر».

«كلا» استفتاح بمعنى ألا «والقمر».
Süleyman AteşDönüp gitmekte olan geceye
Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the night when it departs
«والليل إذا» بفتح الذال «دبر» جاء بعد النهار وفي قراءة إذ دبر بسكون الذال بعدها همزة، أي مضى.
Süleyman AteşAğaran sabaha
Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the morning when it brightens
«والصبح إذا أسفر» ظهر.
Süleyman AteşKi o (Sekar), büyük(bela)lardan biridir
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions]
«إنها» أي سقر «لإحدى الكبر» البلايا العظام.
Süleyman Ateşİnsanlar için uyarıcıdır
Saheeh InternationalAs a warning to humanity
«نذيرا» حال من إحدى وذكر لأنها بمعنى العذاب «للبشر».
Süleyman AteşSizden (iman yolunda) ileri gitmek veya geri kalmak dileyen kimseler için (uyarıcıdır)
Saheeh InternationalTo whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind
«لمن شاء منكم» بدل من البشر «أن يتقدم» إلى الخير أو الجنة بالإيمان «أو يتأخر» إلى الشر أو النار بالكفر.
Süleyman AteşHer can, kazandığıyle (Allah katında) rehin alınmıştır
Saheeh InternationalEvery soul, for what it has earned, will be retained
«كل نفس بما كسبت رهينة» مرهونة مأخوذة بعملها في النار.
Süleyman AteşYalnız sağın adamları (Kitapları sağdan verilenler) hariç
Saheeh InternationalExcept the companions of the right
«إلا أصحاب اليمين» وهم المؤمنون فناجون منها كائنون.
Süleyman AteşOnlar cennetler içinde soruyorlar
Saheeh International[Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other
«في جنات يتساءلون» بينهم.
Süleyman AteşSuçluların durumunu
Saheeh InternationalAbout the criminals
«عن المجرمين» وحالهم ويقولون لهم بعد إخراج الموحدين من النار.
Süleyman AteşSizi şu yakıcı ateşe ne sürükledi
Saheeh International[And asking them], "What put you into Saqar
«ما سلككم» أدخلكم «في سقر».
Süleyman Ateş(Onlar da) Dediler ki: "Biz namaz kılanlardan olmadık
Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "We were not of those who prayed
«قالوا لم نك من المصلين».
Süleyman AteşYoksula da yedirmezdik
Saheeh InternationalNor did we used to feed the poor
«ولم نك نطعم المسكين».
Süleyman AteşBoş şeylere dalanlarla birlikte dalardık
Saheeh InternationalAnd we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it]
«وكنا نخوض» في الباطل «مع الخائضين».
Süleyman AteşCeza gününü yalanlardık
Saheeh InternationalAnd we used to deny the Day of Recompense
«وكنا نكذب بيوم الدين» البعث والجزاء.
Süleyman Ateşİşte böyle iken ölüm bize gelip çattı
Saheeh InternationalUntil there came to us the certainty
«حتى أتانا اليقين» الموت.
Süleyman AteşArtık onlara şefa'atçilerin şefa'ati fayda vermez
Saheeh InternationalSo there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors
«فما تنفعهم شفاعة الشافعين» من الملائكة والأنبياء والصالحين والمعنى لا شفاعة لهم.
Süleyman AteşBöyle iken onlara ne oluyur ki öğütten yüz çeviriyorlar
Saheeh InternationalThen what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away
«فما» مبتدأ «لهم» خبره متعلق بمحذوف انتقل ضميره إليه «عن التذكرة معرضين» حال من الضمير والمعنى أي شيء حصل لهم في إعراضهم عن الاتعاظ.

Saheeh InternationalAs if they were alarmed donkeys
«كأنهم حمر مستنفرة» وحشية.
Süleyman AteşAslandan ürkmüş
Saheeh InternationalFleeing from a lion
«فرت من قسورة» أسد أي هربت منه أشد الهرب.
Süleyman AteşHayır, onlardan her kişi kendisine açılan sahifeler verilmesini istiyor
Saheeh InternationalRather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about
«بل يريد كل امرىء منهم أن يؤتى صحفا منشرة» أي من الله تعالى باتباع النبي كما قالوا: لن نؤمن لك حتى تنزل علينا كتابا نقرؤه.
Süleyman AteşYok yok onlar ahiretten korkmuyorlar
Saheeh InternationalNo! But they do not fear the Hereafter
«كلا» ردع عما أرادوه «بل لا يخافون الآخرة» أي عذابها.
Süleyman AteşHayır (iyi bilsinler ki) o (Kur'an) bir ikazdır
Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder
«كلا» استفتاح «إنه» أي القرآن «تذكرة» عظة.
Süleyman AteşDileyen onu düşünür, öğüt alır
Saheeh InternationalThen whoever wills will remember it
«فمن شاء ذكره» قرأه فاتعظ به.
Süleyman AteşAllah dilemedikçe onlar öğüt almazlar. Takva ve mağfiret ehli O'dur (kendisinden korunmağa, cezasından kaçınmağa layık olan ve günahları bağışlayan yalnız O'dur)
Saheeh InternationalAnd they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness
«وما يذكرون» بالياء والتاء «إلا أن يشاء الله هو أهل التقوى» بأن يتقى «وأهل المغفرة» بأن يغفر لمن اتقاه.
