37. As-Saaffaat سُورَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ

Saheeh InternationalBy those [angels] lined up in rows

Yusuf AliBy those who range themselves in ranks

Süleyman AteşAndolsun o sıra sıra dizilenlere

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who drive [the clouds]

Yusuf AliAnd so are strong in repelling (evil)

Süleyman AteşBağırıp sürenlere

Saheeh InternationalAnd those who recite the message

Yusuf AliAnd thus proclaim the Message (of God)

Süleyman AteşZikir okuyanlara

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, your God is One

Yusuf AliVerily, verily, your God is one

Süleyman AteşKi Tanrınız, birdir

Saheeh InternationalLord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises

Yusuf AliLord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun

Süleyman AteşGöklerin, yerin ve bunlar arasında bulunanların Rabbi, doğuların da Rabbidir

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars

Yusuf AliWe have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars

Süleyman AteşBiz en yakın göğü bir zinetle, yıldızlarla süsledik

Saheeh InternationalAnd as protection against every rebellious devil

Yusuf Ali(For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits

Süleyman AteşVe (onu) ita'at dışına çıkan her türlü şeytandan koruduk

Saheeh International[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side

Yusuf Ali(So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side

Süleyman AteşO (şeyta)nlar mele-i A'layı (yüce melekler topluluğunu) dinleyemezler; her yandan kendilerine (ışınlar) atılır

Saheeh InternationalRepelled; and for them is a constant punishment

Yusuf AliRepulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty

Süleyman AteşKovulurlar. Onlar için sürekli bir azab vardır

Saheeh InternationalExcept one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]

Yusuf AliExcept such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness

Süleyman AteşYalnız (yüce topluluktan) bir söz kapan olursa, onu da delici bir şihab (ışın)izler

Saheeh InternationalThen inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay

Yusuf AliJust ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay

Süleyman AteşŞimdi onlara sor: Yaratılış bakımından kendileri mi daha çetin, yoksa bizim yarattıklarımız mı? Biz kendilerini yapışkan bir çamurdan yarattık

Saheeh InternationalBut you wonder, while they mock

Yusuf AliTruly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule

Süleyman AteşHayır sen (bu muhteşem kudrete) hayran kaldın; onlarsa (seninle) alay ediyorlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd when they are reminded, they remember not

Yusuf AliAnd, when they are admonished, pay no heed

Süleyman AteşKendilerine öğüt verilse öğüt almıyorlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd when they see a sign, they ridicule

Yusuf AliAnd, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery

Süleyman AteşBir mu'cize görseler, alay ediyorlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd say, "This is not but obvious magic

Yusuf AliAnd say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery

Süleyman AteşBu apaçık bir büyüden başka bir şey değildir. diyorlar

Saheeh InternationalWhen we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected

Yusuf AliWhat! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again)

Süleyman AteşYani biz öldüğümüz, toprak ve kemik olduğumuz zaman mı, biz mi diriltilecek mişiz

Saheeh InternationalAnd our forefathers [as well]

Yusuf AliAnd also our fathers of old

Süleyman AteşEvvelki atalarımız da mı

Saheeh InternationalSay, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible

Yusuf AliSay thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)

Süleyman AteşDe ki: "Evet siz aşağılanarak (diriltileceksiniz)

Saheeh InternationalIt will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing

Yusuf AliThen it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see

Süleyman AteşO (iş) sadece korkunç bir sesten ibarettir: Hemen onlar (diriltilmiş olarak) bakıyorlardır

Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense

Yusuf AliThey will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment

Saheeh International[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny

Yusuf Ali(A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied

Saheeh International[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship

Yusuf AliBring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped

Süleyman Ateş(Yüce Allah meleklerine emreder): "Toplayın o zalimleri, onların eşlerini ve taptıklarını

Saheeh InternationalOther than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire

Yusuf AliBesides God, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire

Süleyman AteşAllah'tan başka. Onları cehennemin yoluna götürün

Saheeh InternationalAnd stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned

Yusuf AliBut stop them, for they must be asked

Süleyman AteşDurdurun onları, çünkü onlar sorguya çekileceklerdir

Saheeh International[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other

Yusuf AliWhat is the matter with you that ye help not each other

Saheeh InternationalBut they, that Day, are in surrender

Yusuf AliNay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment)

Saheeh InternationalAnd they will approach one another blaming each other

Yusuf AliAnd they will turn to one another, and question one another

Süleyman AteşBirbirlerine döndüler, soruyorlar

Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right

Yusuf AliThey will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)

Süleyman Ateş(Uyanlar, uydukları adamlara) Dediler ki: "Siz bize sağdan gelir(güvendiğimiz yandan bize sokulup vesvese verir)diniz

Saheeh InternationalThe oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers

Yusuf AliThey will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith

Süleyman Ateş(Ötekiler de): "Hayır, dediler, zaten siz kendiniz inanan insanlar değildiniz

Saheeh InternationalAnd we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people

Yusuf AliNor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion

Süleyman AteşBizim sizi zorlayacak bir gücümüz yoktu. Siz kendiniz azgın bir toplum idiniz

Saheeh InternationalSo the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]

Yusuf AliSo now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins)

Süleyman AteşArtık Rabbimizin sözü bize hak oldu. Biz (hak ettiğimiz cezayı mutlaka) tadacağız

Saheeh InternationalAnd we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators

Yusuf AliWe led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray

Süleyman AteşSizi azdırdık, çünkü biz kendimiz azmıştık(siz de bize uyunca azmış oldunuz)

Saheeh InternationalSo indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment

Yusuf AliTruly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty

Süleyman AteşO gün onlar azab (çekme)de ortaktırlar

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, that is how We deal with the criminals

Yusuf AliVerily that is how We shall deal with Sinners

Süleyman Ateşİşte biz, suçlulara böyle yaparız

Saheeh InternationalIndeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant

Yusuf AliFor they, when they were told that there is no god except God, would puff themselves up with Pride

Süleyman AteşÇünkü onlara: "Allah'tan başka tanrı yoktur!" dendiği zaman büyüklük taslarlardı

Saheeh InternationalAnd were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet

Yusuf AliAnd say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed

Süleyman AteşCinlenmiş bir şair için biz tanrılarımızı mı terk edeceğiz? derlerdi

Saheeh InternationalRather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers

Yusuf AliNay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the apostles (before him)

Süleyman AteşHayır, o (ne şairdi, ne mecnun. O) gerçeği getirmiş ve elçileri de doğrulamıştı

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment

Yusuf AliYe shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty

Süleyman AteşSiz acı azabı tadacaksınız

Saheeh InternationalAnd you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do

Yusuf AliBut it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought

Süleyman AteşSadece yaptığınız (işler)le cezalanıyorsunuz

Saheeh InternationalBut not the chosen servants of Allah

Yusuf AliBut the sincere (and devoted) Servants of God

Süleyman AteşAncak Allah'ın halis kulları bu cezanın dışındadır

Saheeh InternationalThose will have a provision determined

Yusuf AliFor them is a Sustenance determined

Süleyman AteşOnlar için bilinen bir rızık vardır

Saheeh InternationalFruits; and they will be honored

Yusuf AliFruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity

Süleyman Ateş(Türlü türlü) Meyvalar. Ve onlar ağırlanırlar

Saheeh InternationalIn gardens of pleasure

Yusuf AliIn Gardens of Felicity

Süleyman AteşNi'met cennetlerinde

Saheeh InternationalOn thrones facing one another

Yusuf AliFacing each other on Thrones (of Dignity)

Süleyman AteşTahtlar üzerinde, karşılıklı otururlar

Saheeh InternationalThere will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring

Yusuf AliRound will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain

Süleyman AteşÖnlerinde akan kaynaktan (doldurulmuş) kadehler dolaştırılır

Saheeh InternationalWhite and delicious to the drinkers

Yusuf AliCrystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof)

Süleyman AteşBerrak, içenlere lezzet veren bir içki

Saheeh InternationalNo bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated

Yusuf AliFree from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom

Süleyman AteşOnda ne sersemletme var, ne onunla sarhoş olurlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes

Yusuf AliAnd besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty)

Süleyman AteşYanlarında da, yalnız kendilerine göz dikmiş iri gözlü eşler vardır

Saheeh InternationalAs if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected

Yusuf AliAs if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded

Süleyman AteşSaklı yumurta gibi bembeyaz eşler

Saheeh InternationalAnd they will approach one another, inquiring of each other

Yusuf AliThen they will turn to one another and question one another

Süleyman AteşBunlar birbirine dönmüş soruyorlar

Saheeh InternationalA speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]

Yusuf AliOne of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth)

Süleyman AteşOnlardan bir sözcü: "Benim, dedi, bir arkadaşım vardı

Saheeh InternationalWho would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe

Yusuf AliWho used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)

Süleyman AteşDerdi ki: 'Sen doğrulayanlardan mısın

Saheeh InternationalThat when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed

Yusuf AliWhen we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments

Süleyman AteşBiz ölüp toprak ve kemik olduğumuz zaman mı, biz mi (diriltilip yaptığımız işlere göre) cezalanacağız

Saheeh InternationalHe will say, "Would you [care to] look

Yusuf Ali(A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down

Süleyman Ateş(Sonra yanındakilere): "Bakar mısınız?" dedi

Saheeh InternationalAnd he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire

Yusuf AliHe looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire

Süleyman AteşBaktı onu cehennemin ortasında gördü

Saheeh InternationalHe will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me

Yusuf AliHe said: "By God! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition

Süleyman AteşTallahi, dedi, sen az daha beni de alçaltacaktın

Saheeh InternationalIf not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]

Yusuf AliHad it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)

Süleyman AteşRabbimin ni'meti olmasaydı, şimdi ben de (oraya) getirilenlerden olurdum

Saheeh InternationalThen, are we not to die

Yusuf AliIs it (the case) that we shall not die

Süleyman AteşBiz bir daha ölmeyecek miyiz der

Saheeh InternationalExcept for our first death, and we will not be punished

Yusuf AliExcept our first death, and that we shall not be punished

Süleyman AteşYalnız ilk ölümümüz, başka ölüm yok ve biz azaba da uğratılmayacağız ha

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, this is the great attainment

Yusuf AliVerily this is the supreme achievement

Süleyman AteşGerçekten büyük başarı ve mutluluk budur

Saheeh InternationalFor the like of this let the workers [on earth] work

Yusuf AliFor the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive

Süleyman AteşÇalışanlar bunun için çalışsınlar

Saheeh InternationalIs Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum

Yusuf AliIs that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum

Süleyman Ateş(Nasıl) Ağırlanmak için bu mu hayırlı, yoksa zakkum ağacı mı

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers

Yusuf AliFor We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire

Yusuf AliFor it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire

Saheeh InternationalIts emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils

Yusuf AliThe shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils

Süleyman AteşTomurcukları, şeytanların başları gibidir

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies

Yusuf AliTruly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith

Süleyman AteşOnlar ondan yiyecekler ve karınlarını onunla dolduracaklardır

Saheeh InternationalThen indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water

Yusuf AliThen on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water

Süleyman AteşSonra onların, bunun üzerine kaynar su karıştırılmış bir içkileri vardır

Saheeh InternationalThen indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire

Yusuf AliThen shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire

Saheeh InternationalIndeed they found their fathers astray

Yusuf AliTruly they found their fathers on the wrong Path

Saheeh InternationalSo they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps

Yusuf AliSo they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps

Saheeh InternationalAnd there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples

Yusuf AliAnd truly before them, many of the ancients went astray

Saheeh InternationalAnd We had already sent among them warners

Yusuf AliBut We sent aforetime, among them, (apostles) to admonish them

Saheeh InternationalThen look how was the end of those who were warned

Yusuf AliThen see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not)

Süleyman AteşBak, o uyarılanların sonu nice oldu

Saheeh InternationalBut not the chosen servants of Allah

Yusuf AliExcept the sincere (and devoted) Servants of God

Süleyman AteşAncak Allah'ın halis kulları o azabın dışında kaldılar

Saheeh InternationalAnd Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders

Yusuf Ali(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer

Süleyman AteşAndolsun Nuh bize yalvarmıştı da ne güzel kabul buyurmuştuk

Saheeh InternationalAnd We saved him and his family from the great affliction

Yusuf AliAnd We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity

Süleyman AteşOnu ve ailesini büyük sıkıntıdan kurtarmıştık

Saheeh InternationalAnd We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]

Yusuf AliAnd made his progeny to endure (on this earth)

Süleyman AteşYalnız onun zürriyetini kalıcılar yaptık (onlardan başka hepsini helak ettik)

Saheeh InternationalAnd left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

Yusuf AliAnd We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times

Saheeh InternationalPeace upon Noah among the worlds

Yusuf AliPeace and salutation to Noah among the nations

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good

Yusuf AliThus indeed do we reward those who do right

Yusuf AliFor he was one of our believing Servants

Saheeh InternationalThen We drowned the disbelievers

Yusuf AliThen the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood

Süleyman AteşSonra ötekilerini suda boğduk

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, among his kind was Abraham

Yusuf AliVerily among those who followed his Way was Abraham

Saheeh InternationalWhen he came to his Lord with a sound heart

Yusuf AliBehold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart

Saheeh InternationalThen what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds

Yusuf AliThen what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds

Süleyman AteşAlemlerin Rabbi hakkında zannınız nedir (ki O'na böyle ortaklar koştunuz)

Saheeh InternationalAnd he cast a look at the stars

Yusuf AliThen did he cast a glance at the Stars

Süleyman AteşYıldızlara bir göz attı

Saheeh InternationalAnd said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill

Yusuf AliAnd he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)

Süleyman AteşBen hastayım, dedi

Saheeh InternationalSo they turned away from him, departing

Yusuf AliSo they turned away from him, and departed

Süleyman AteşBunun üzerine arkalarını dönüp ondan kaçtılar

Saheeh InternationalThen he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat

Yusuf AliThen did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)

Süleyman AteşO da gizlice onların tanrılarına sokuldu: "Yemez misini?" dedi

Saheeh InternationalWhat is [wrong] with you that you do not speak

Yusuf AliWhat is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)

Süleyman AteşNeyiniz var ki konuşmuyorsunuz

Saheeh InternationalAnd he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand

Yusuf AliThen did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand

Süleyman AteşVe gizlice üzerlerine yürüyüp sağ eliyle onlara kuvvetli bir darbe indirdi

Saheeh InternationalThen the people came toward him, hastening

Yusuf AliThen came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him)

Süleyman Ateş(Puta, tapanlar, döndüklerinde putlarını kırılmış görünce) Hemen koşarak ona gittiler

Saheeh InternationalHe said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve

Yusuf AliHe said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved

Süleyman Ateş(Elinizle) Yonttuğunuz şeylere mi tapıyorsunuz? dedi

Saheeh InternationalWhile Allah created you and that which you do

Yusuf AliBut God has created you and your handwork

Süleyman AteşOysa sizi de, yaptığınız(bu şeyler)i de Allah yaratmıştır

Saheeh InternationalThey said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire

Yusuf AliThey said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire

Süleyman AteşOnun için bir bina yapın da onu (o binada) ateşe atın dediler

Saheeh InternationalAnd they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased

Yusuf Ali(This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated

Süleyman AteşOna bir tuzak kurmak istediler, biz de (onların tuzaklarını boşa çıkardık), onları alçak düşürdük

Saheeh InternationalAnd [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me

Yusuf AliHe said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me

Saheeh InternationalMy Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous

Yusuf AliO my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)

Süleyman AteşRabbim, bana iyilerden (bir çocuk) lutfet

Saheeh InternationalSo We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy

Yusuf AliSo We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear

Süleyman AteşOna halim bir erkek çocuk müjdeledik

Saheeh InternationalAnd when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast

Yusuf AliThen, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if God so wills one practising Patience and Constancy

Süleyman Ateş(Çocuk) Onun yanında koşma çağına erişince (İbrahim ona): "Yavrum, dedi, ben uykuda görüyorum ki ben seni kesiyorum; (düşün) bak, ne dersin?" (Çocuk): "Babacığım, sana emredileni yap, inşallah beni sabredenlerden bulacaksın." dedi

Saheeh InternationalAnd when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead

Yusuf AliSo when they had both submitted their wills (to God), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice)

Yusuf AliAnd We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous

Süleyman AteşBiz ona İshak'ı, iyilerden bir peygamber olarak müjdeledik

Saheeh InternationalAnd We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself

Yusuf AliWe blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls

Süleyman AteşKendisine de, İshak'a da bereketler verdik. Onların neslinden (gelenler arasında) iyi hareket eden de var, açıkça kendisine zulmeden de

Saheeh InternationalAnd We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron

Yusuf AliAgain (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron

Saheeh InternationalAnd We saved them and their people from the great affliction

Yusuf AliAnd We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity

Saheeh InternationalAnd We supported them so it was they who overcame

Yusuf AliAnd We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles)

Süleyman AteşOnlara yardım ettik de üstün gelenler kendileri oldular

Saheeh InternationalAnd We gave them the explicit Scripture

Yusuf AliAnd We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear

Saheeh InternationalAnd We guided them on the straight path

Yusuf AliAnd We guided them to the Straight Way

Yusuf AliBehold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (God)

Süleyman AteşKavmine demişti ki: "(Allah'ın azabından) Korunmaz mısınız

Saheeh InternationalDo you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators

Yusuf AliWill ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators

Süleyman AteşBa'l'e yalvarıyorsunuz da, bırakıyor musunuz, yaratıcıların en güzelini

Saheeh InternationalAllah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers

Yusuf AliGod, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old

Süleyman AteşSizin Rabbiniz ve önceki atalarınızın Rabbi olan Allah'ı

Saheeh InternationalAnd they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment]

Yusuf AliBut they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment)

Süleyman AteşOnu yalanladılar, bundan dolayı onlar (azaba) getirileceklerdir

Saheeh InternationalExcept the chosen servants of Allah

Yusuf AliExcept the sincere and devoted Servants of God (among them)

Süleyman AteşYalnız Allah'ın halis kulları azab dışındadırlar

Saheeh InternationalAnd We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

Yusuf AliAnd We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times

Süleyman AteşBiz, sonra gelenler arasında ona (İlyas'a da iyi bir ün) bıraktık

Saheeh International[So mention] when We saved him and his family, all

Yusuf AliBehold, We delivered him and his adherents, all

Saheeh InternationalExcept his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]

Yusuf AliExcept an old woman who was among those who lagged behind

Saheeh InternationalThen We destroyed the others

Yusuf AliThen We destroyed the rest

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, you pass by them in the morning

Yusuf AliVerily, ye pass by their (sites), by day

Süleyman AteşSiz onların yanlarından geçip gidiyorsunuz; sabahleyin

Saheeh InternationalAnd at night. Then will you not use reason

Yusuf AliAnd by night: will ye not understand

Süleyman AteşVe geceleyin. Düşünmüyor musunuz

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, Jonah was among the messengers

Yusuf AliSo also was Jonah among those sent (by Us)

Süleyman AteşYunus da gönderilen elçilerdendi

Saheeh International[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship

Yusuf AliWhen he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden

Süleyman AteşDolu gemiye kaçmıştı

Saheeh InternationalAnd he drew lots and was among the losers

Yusuf AliHe (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned

Süleyman Ateş(Yükü fazla oluğundan gemi taşıyamamış, yolculardan birini denize atmak gerekmişti. Birini atmak üzere gemidekilerle) Kur'a çekti. (Yunus) Yenilenlerden oldu. (Kur'a kendisine isabet etti)

Saheeh InternationalThen the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy

Yusuf AliThen the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame

Süleyman Ateş(Yunus, Rabbinden izinsiz olarak kavminden ayrıldığı için) Kendi kendisini kınarken (denize attılar) balık onu yuttu

Saheeh InternationalAnd had he not been of those who exalt Allah

Yusuf AliHad it not been that he (repented and) glorified God

Saheeh InternationalHe would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected

Yusuf AliHe would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection

Saheeh InternationalBut We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill

Yusuf AliBut We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness

Saheeh InternationalAnd We caused to grow over him a gourd vine

Saheeh InternationalAnd We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more

Saheeh InternationalAnd they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time

Saheeh InternationalSo inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons

Yusuf AliNow ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons

Saheeh InternationalOr did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses

Yusuf AliOr that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)

Saheeh InternationalUnquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say

Yusuf AliIs it not that they say, from their own invention

Saheeh InternationalAllah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars

Yusuf AliGod has begotten children"? but they are liars

Yusuf AliDid He (then) choose daughters rather than sons

Saheeh InternationalWhat is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement

Yusuf AliWhat is the matter with you? How judge ye

Süleyman AteşSize ne oldu, nasıl hüküm veriyorsunuz

Saheeh InternationalThen will you not be reminded

Yusuf AliWill ye not then receive admonition

Süleyman AteşHiç mi düşünmüyorsunuz

Saheeh InternationalOr do you have a clear authority

Yusuf AliOr have ye an authority manifest

Süleyman AteşYoksa sizin, (meleklerin, Allah'ın kızları oldukları hakkında) açık bir deliliniz mi var

Saheeh InternationalThen produce your scripture, if you should be truthful

Yusuf AliThen bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful

Süleyman AteşEğer doğru iseniz Kitabınızı getirin

Saheeh InternationalAnd they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]

Yusuf AliAnd they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment- Seat)

Süleyman AteşAllah ile cinler arasında bir nesep, (bir soy bağlantısı) uydurdular. Oysa cinler de kendilerinin (yüce divana) getirileceklerini bilmişlerdir

Saheeh InternationalExalted is Allah above what they describe

Yusuf AliGlory to God! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)

Süleyman AteşHaşa Allah, onların taktıkları sıfatlardan (münezzehtir), yücedir

Saheeh InternationalExcept the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]

Yusuf AliNot (so do) the Servants of God, sincere and devoted

Süleyman AteşFakat Allah'ın temiz kulları hariç (onlar azaba sokulmayacaklardır)

Saheeh InternationalSo indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship

Yusuf AliFor, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship

Süleyman Ateş(Ey inkarcılar) Ne siz, ne de taptıklarınız

Saheeh InternationalYou cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him

Yusuf AliCan lead (any) into temptation concerning God

Süleyman AteşKandırıp Allah'ın yolundan çıkaramazsınız

Saheeh InternationalExcept he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire

Yusuf AliExcept such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire

Saheeh International[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position

Yusuf Ali(Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]

Yusuf AliAnd we are verily ranged in ranks (for service)

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, we are those who exalt Allah

Yusuf AliAnd we are verily those who declare (God's) glory

Süleyman AteşBiziz, o tesbih edenler, biz

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, the disbelievers used to say

Yusuf AliAnd there were those who said

Süleyman AteşGerçi o(ortakkoşa)nlar şöyle diyorlardı

Saheeh InternationalIf we had a message from [those of] the former peoples

Yusuf AliIf only we had had before us a Message from those of old

Süleyman AteşEğer yanımızda öncekiler(e gelen Kitap'lar)dan bir uyarı olsaydı

Saheeh InternationalWe would have been the chosen servants of Allah

Yusuf AliWe should certainly have been Servants of God, sincere (and devoted)

Süleyman AteşElbette biz, Allah'ın halis kulları olurduk

Saheeh InternationalBut they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know

Yusuf AliBut (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know

Süleyman AteşAma o uyarıyı inkar ettiler, yakında (inkar etmelerinin sonunun nasıl olacağını) bileceklerdir

Saheeh InternationalAnd Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers

Yusuf AliAlready has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us)

Süleyman AteşGönderilen elçi kullarımıza şu sözümüz geçmişti

Saheeh International[That] indeed, they would be those given victory

Yusuf AliThat they would certainly be assisted

Süleyman AteşMutlaka zafere ulaştırılanlar kendileri olacaktır

Saheeh InternationalAnd [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome

Yusuf AliAnd that Our forces,- they surely must conquer

Süleyman AteşVe galip gelenler, mutlaka bizim ordumuz olacaktır

Saheeh InternationalSo, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time

Yusuf AliSo turn thou away from them for a little while

Süleyman AteşBir süreye kadar onlardan dön (onların sözlerine aldırış etme)

Saheeh InternationalAnd see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see

Yusuf AliAnd watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)

Süleyman AteşOnları gözetle. Yakında (başlarına neler geleceğini) göreceklerdir

Saheeh InternationalThen for Our punishment are they impatient

Yusuf AliDo they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment

Süleyman AteşBizim azabımızı mı acele istiyorlar

Saheeh InternationalBut when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned

Yusuf AliBut when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)

Süleyman AteşFakat o azab yurtlarına indiği zaman uyarılmış olanların sabahı ne kötü olur

Saheeh InternationalAnd leave them for a time

Yusuf AliSo turn thou away from them for a little while

Saheeh InternationalAnd see, for they are going to see

Yusuf AliAnd watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)
