Yusuf AliThose who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter

Yusuf AliSay: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds

Yusuf AliHe set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sust enance)

Yusuf AliMoreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience

Yusuf AliSo He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Kno wledge

Ali BulaçBöylece onları iki gün içinde yedi gök olarak tamamladı ve her bir göğe emrini vahyetti. Biz dünya göğünü de kandillerle süsleyip-donattık ve bir koruma (altına aldık). İşte bu, üstün ve güçlü olan, bilen (Allah)'ın takdiridir

Yusuf AliBut if they turn away, say thou: "I have warned you of a stunning Punishment (as of thunder and lightning) like that which (overtook) the 'Ad and the Thamud

Yusuf AliBehold, the apostles came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but God." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether)

Ali BulaçOnlara "Yalnızca Allah'a kulluk edin" diye önlerinden ve arkalarından elçiler gelince, dediler ki: "Eğer dileseydi Rabbimiz melekler indirirdi. Bundan dolayı biz, sizin kendisiyle gönderildiğiniz şeyi inkar edicileriz.”

Yusuf AliNow the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! did they not see that God, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Ou r Signs

Ali BulaçAd (kavmin)e gelince; onlar yeryüzünde haksız yere büyüklendiler ve dediler ki: "Kuvvet bakımından bizden daha üstünü kimmiş?" Onlar, gerçekten kendilerini yaratan Allah'ı görmediler mi? O, kuvvet bakımından kendilerinden daha üstündür. Oysa onlar, Bizim ayetlerimizi (bilerek) inkar ediyorlardı

Yusuf AliSo We sent against them a furious Wind through days of disaster, that We might give them a taste of a Penalty of humiliation in this life; but the Penalty of a Hereafter will be more humiliating still: and they will find no help

Ali BulaçBöylece Biz de onlara dünya hayatında aşağılanma azabını taddırmak için, o uğursuz (felaketler yüklü) günlerde üzerlerine 'kulakları patlatan bir kasırga' gönderdik. Ahiret azabı ise daha (büyük) bir aşağılanmadır. Ve onlara yardım edilmeyecektir

Yusuf AliAs to the Thamud, We gave them Guidance, but they preferred blindness (of heart) to Guidance: so the stunning Punishment of humiliation seized them, because of what they had earned

Yusuf AliOn the Day that the enemies of God will be gathered together to the Fire, they will be marched in ranks

Yusuf AliAt length, when they reach the (Fire), their hearing, their sight, and their skins will bear witness against them, as to (all) their deeds

Yusuf AliThey will say to their skins: "Why bear ye witness against us?" They will say: "God hath given us speech,- (He) Who giveth speech to everything: He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return

Ali BulaçKendi derilerine dediler ki: "Niye aleyhimizde şahitlik ettiniz?" Dediler ki: "Herşeye nutku verip-konuşturan Allah, bizi konuşturdu. Sizi ilk defa O yarattı ve O'na döndürülüyorsunuz

Yusuf AliYe did not seek to hide yourselves, lest your hearing, your sight, and your skins should bear witness against you! But ye did think that God knew not many of the things that ye used to do

Ali BulaçSiz, işitme, görme (duyularınız) ve derileriniz aleyhinize şahitlik eder diye sakınmıyordunuz. Aksine, yaptıklarınızın birçoğunu Allah'ın bilmeyeceğini sanıyordunuz

Yusuf AliBut this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost

Ali Bulaçİşte bu sizin zannınız; Rabbiniz hakkında beslediğiniz-zannınız, sizi bir yıkıma uğrattı, böylelikle hüsrana uğrayan kimseler olarak sabahladınız

Yusuf AliIf, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received

Ali BulaçŞimdi eğer sabredebilirlerse, artık onlar için konaklama yeri ateştir. Ve eğer onlar hoşnut olma (dünya)ya dönmek isterlerse, artık hoşnut olacaklardan değildirler

Yusuf AliAnd We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost

Yusuf AliThe Unbelievers say: "Listen not to this Qur'an, but talk at random in the midst of its (reading), that ye may gain the upper hand

Yusuf AliBut We will certainly give the Unbelievers a taste of a severe Penalty, and We will requite them for the worst of their deeds

Ali BulaçArtık gerçekten o inkar edenlere şiddetli bir azap taddıracağız ve yaptıklarının en kötüsüyle cezalandıracağız

Yusuf AliSuch is the requital of the enemies of God,- the Fire: therein will be for them the Eternal Home: a (fit) requital, for that they were wont to reject Our Sings

Ali BulaçBu, Allah'ın düşmanlarının cezası olan ateştir. Bizim ayetlerimizi inkar etmeleri dolayısıyla bir ceza olarak, orada onlar için ebedilik yurdu vardır

Yusuf AliAnd the Unbelievers will say: "Our Lord! Show us those, among Jinns and men, who misled us: We shall crush them beneath our feet, so that they become the vilest (before all)

Ali Bulaçİnkar edenler dediler ki: "Rabbimiz, cinlerden ve insanlardan bizi saptırmış olanları bize göster, ayaklarımızın altına alalım, en aşağılarda bulunanlardan olsunlar

Yusuf AliIn the case of those who say, "Our Lord is God", and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear ye not!" (they suggest), "Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised

Ali BulaçŞüphesiz: "Bizim Rabbimiz Allah'tır" deyip sonra dosdoğru bir istikamet tutturanlar (yok mu); onların üzerine melekler iner (ve der ki:) "Korkmayın ve hüzne kapılmayın, size vadolunan cennetle sevinin

Yusuf AliWe are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter: therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for

Ali BulaçBiz, dünya hayatında da, ahirette de sizin velileriniziz. Orda nefislerinizin arzuladığı herşey sizindir ve istediğiniz herşey de sizindir

Yusuf AliWho is better in speech than one who calls (men) to God, works righteousness, and says, "I am of those who bow in Islam

Yusuf AliNor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate

Ali Bulaçİyilikle kötülük eşit olmaz. Sen, en güzel olan bir tarzda (kötülüğü) uzaklaştır; o zaman, (görürsün ki) seninle onun arasında düşmanlık bulunan kimse, sanki sıcak bir dost(un) oluvermiştir

Yusuf AliAnd no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint,- none but persons of the greatest good fortune

Ali BulaçBuna da, sabredenlerden başkası kavuşturulamaz. Ve buna, büyük bir pay sahibi olanlardan başkası da kavuşturulamaz

Yusuf AliAnd if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to thee by the Evil One, seek refuge in God. He is the One Who hears and knows all things

Ali BulaçŞayet sana şeytandan bir kışkırtma gelecek olursa, hemen Allah'a sığın. Çünkü O, işitendir, bilendir

Yusuf AliAmong His Sings are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Adore not the sun and the moon, but adore God, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve

Ali BulaçGece, gündüz, güneş ve ay O'nun ayetlerindendir. Siz güneşe de, aya da secde etmeyin. Alah’a secde edin, ki bunları Kendisi yaratmıştır. Eğer O'na ibadet edecekseniz

Yusuf AliBut is the (Unbelievers) are arrogant, (no matter): for in the presence of thy Lord are those who celebrate His praises by night and by day. And they never flag (nor feel themselves above it)

Ali BulaçŞayet onlar büyüklenecek olurlarsa, Rabbinin Katında bulunanlar, O'nu gece ve gündüz tesbih ederler ve (bundan) bıkkınlık duymazlar

Yusuf AliAnd among His Signs in this: thou seest the earth barren and desolate; but when We send down rain to it, it is stirred to life and yields increase. Truly, He Who gives life to the (dead) earth can surely give life to (men) who are dead. For He has power over all things

Ali BulaçO'nun ayetlerinden biri de, senin gerçekten yeryüzünü huşu içinde (solmuş, boynu bükülmüş ve kupkuru) görmendir. Ama Biz onun üzerine suyu indirdiğimiz zaman, deprenir ve kabarır. Şüphesiz onu dirilten, ölüleri de elbette dirilticidir. Çünkü O, herşeye güç yetirendir

Yusuf AliThose who pervert the Truth in Our Signs are not hidden from Us. Which is better?- he that is cast into the Fire, or he that comes safe through, on the Day of Judgment? Do what ye will: verily He seeth (clearly) all that ye do

Ali BulaçBizim ayetlerimiz konusunda çarpıtma yapanlar, Bize gizli kalmazlar. Öyleyse ateşin içine bırakılan mı daha hayırlıdır yoksa kıyamet günü güvenle gelen mi? Siz dilediğinizi yapın. Çünkü O yaptıklarınızı gerçekten görendir

Yusuf AliThose who reject the Message when it comes to them (are not hidden from Us). And indeed it is a Book of exalted power

Ali BulaçŞüphesiz, kendilerine zikir gelince onu inkar edenler (ateşin içine bırakılırlar); oysa o, aziz (şerefi yüksek, üstün) bir Kitap'tır

Yusuf AliNo falsehood can approach it from before or behind it: It is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise

Yusuf AliNothing is said to thee that was not said to the apostles before thee: that thy lord has at his Command (all) forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty

Ali BulaçSana söylenen şeyler, senden önceki elçilere söylenenden başkası değildir. Şüphesiz, Rabbin, hem elbette mağfiret sahibidir, hem de acı bir azap sahibidir

Yusuf AliHad We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe ; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant

Ali BulaçEğer Biz onu A'cemi (Arapça olmayan bir dilde) olan bir Kur'an kılsaydık, herhalde derlerdi ki: "Onun ayetleri açıklanmalı değil miydi? Arap olana, A'cemi (Arapça olmayan bir dil)mi?" De ki: "O, iman edenler için bir hidayet ve bir şifadır. İman etmeyenlerin ise kulaklarında bir ağırlık vardır ve o (Kur'an), onlara karşı bir körlüktür. İşte onlara (sanki) uzak bir yerden seslenilir

Yusuf AliWe certainly gave Moses the Book aforetime: but disputes arose therein. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their differences) would have been settled between them: but they remained in suspicious disquieting doub t thereon

Ali BulaçAndolsun, Musa'ya kitabı verdik, fakat onda anlaşmazlığa düşüldü. Eğer Rabbinden (daha önce) bir söz geçmiş (verilmiş) olmasaydı, mutlaka aralarında hüküm verilmiş (iş bitirilmiş)ti. Gerçekten onlar, bundan yana kuşku verici bir tereddüt içindedirler

Yusuf AliWhoever works righteousness benefits his own soul; whoever works evil, it is against his own soul: nor is thy Lord ever unjust (in the least) to His Servants

Yusuf AliTo Him is referred the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment: He knows all): No date-fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive (within her womb) nor bring forth the Day that (God) will propound to them the (question), "Where are t he partners (ye attributed to Me?" They will say, "We do assure thee not one of us can bear witness)

Ali BulaçKıyamet-saatinin ilmi O'na döndürülür. O'nun ilmi olmaksızın, hiçbir meyve tomurcuğundan çıkmaz, hiçbir dişi gebe kalmaz ve doğurmaz da. Onlara: "Benim ortaklarım nerede" diye sesleneceği gün, dediler ki: "Sana arzettik ki, bizden hiçbir şahid yok

Yusuf AliThe (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape

Ali BulaçÖnceden kendilerine taptıkları (bugün) onlardan kaybolup gitti ve onlar kaçacak hiçbir yerleri olmadığını anlamışlardır

Yusuf AliMan does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair

Ali Bulaçİnsan, hayır istemekten bıkkınlık duymaz; fakat ona bir şer dokundu mu, artık o, ye'se düşen bir umutsuzdur

Yusuf AliWhen we give him a taste of some Mercy from Ourselves, after some adversity has touched him, he is sure to say, "This is due to my (merit): I think not that the Hour (of Judgment) will (ever) be established; but if I am brought back to my Lor d, I have (much) good (stored) in His sight!" But We will show the Unbelievers the truth of all that they did, and We shall give them the taste of a severe Penalty

Ali BulaçOysa ona dokunan bir zarardan sonra tarafımızdan bir rahmet taddırsak, mutlaka: "Bu benim (hakkım)dır. Ve ben kıyamet-saatinin kopacağını da sanmıyorum; eğer Rabbime döndürülsem bile, muhakkak O'nun Katında benim için daha güzel olanı vardır." der. Ama andolsun Biz, o kafirlere yaptıklarını haber vereceğiz ve andolsun onlara, en kaba bir azaptan taddıracağız

Yusuf AliWhen We bestow favours on man, he turns away, and gets himself remote on his side (instead of coming to Us); and when evil seizes him, (he comes) full of prolonged prayer

Ali Bulaçİnsana nimet verdiğimiz zaman, yüz çevirir ve yan çizer; ona bir şer dokunduğu zaman ise, artık o, geniş (kapsamlı ve derinlemesine) bir dua sahibidir

Yusuf AliSay: "See ye if the (Revelation) is (really) from God, and yet do ye reject it? Who is more astray than one who is in a schism far (from any purpose)

Ali BulaçDe ki: "Gördünüz mü haber verin; eğer o (Kur'an) Allah Katından ise, sonra siz onu inkar etmişseniz (bu durumda) uzak bir ayrılık içinde olandan daha sapık kimdir

Yusuf AliSoon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things

Ali BulaçBiz ayetlerimizi hem afakta, hem kendi nefislerinde onlara göstereceğiz; öyle ki, şüphesiz onun hak olduğu kendilerine açıkça belli olsun. Herşeyin üzerinde Rabbinin şahid olması yetmez mi

Yusuf AliAh indeed! Are they in doubt concerning the Meeting with their Lord? Ah indeed! It is He that doth encompass all things

Ali BulaçDikkatli olun; gerçekten onlar, Rablerine kavuşmaktan yana derin bir kuşku içindedirler. Dikkatli olun; gerçekten O, herşeyi sarıp-kuşatandır
