83. Al-Mutaffifin سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينَ

Saheeh InternationalWoe to those who give less [than due]

Saheeh InternationalFor a tremendous Day

Saheeh InternationalThe Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds

Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen

Yusuf AliDay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin

Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is sijjeen

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBildin mi sen, Siccin nedir

Yusuf AliAnd what will explain to thee what Sijjin is

Saheeh InternationalIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYazılmış bir kitaptır o

Yusuf Ali(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed

Saheeh InternationalWoe, that Day, to the deniers

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırVay haline yalanlayanların o gün

Yusuf AliWoe, that Day, to those that deny

Saheeh InternationalWho deny the Day of Recompense

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlar ceza gününü yalanlayanlardır

Yusuf AliThose that deny the Day of Judgment

Saheeh InternationalAnd none deny it except every sinful transgressor

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnu ancak sınırı aşan ve günaha düşkün olanlar yalanlar

Yusuf AliAnd none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner

Saheeh InternationalWhen Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples

Yusuf AliWhen Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients

Saheeh InternationalNo! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning

Yusuf AliBy no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do

Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned

Yusuf AliVerily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled

Saheeh InternationalThen indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırSonra onlar muhakkak cehenneme girecekler

Yusuf AliFurther, they will enter the Fire of Hell

Saheeh InternationalThen it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny

Yusuf AliFurther, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false

Saheeh InternationalNo! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun

Yusuf AliDay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin

Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is 'illiyyun

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırBildin mi sen, Illiyyîn nedir

Yusuf AliAnd what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is

Saheeh InternationalIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYazılmış bir kitaptır o

Yusuf Ali(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed

Saheeh InternationalWhich is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah'a yaklaştırılmış melekler ona tanık olurlar

Yusuf AliTo which bear witness those Nearest (to God)

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırHaberiniz olsun ki, iyiler nimet içindedir

Yusuf AliTruly the Righteous will be in Bliss

Saheeh InternationalOn adorned couches, observing

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırTahtlar üzerinde etrafa bakarlar

Yusuf AliOn Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things)

Saheeh InternationalYou will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırYüzlerinde nimet ve mutluluğun sevincini görürsün

Yusuf AliThou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss

Saheeh InternationalThey will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara damgalı saf bir içki sunulur

Yusuf AliTheir thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed

Saheeh InternationalThe last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnun sonu misktir. İşte ona imrensin artık imrenenler

Yusuf AliThe seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations

Saheeh InternationalAnd its mixture is of Tasneem

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKarışımı Tesnim'dendir (En üstün cennet şarabındandır)

Yusuf AliWith it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim

Saheeh InternationalA spring from which those near [to Allah] drink

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırAllah'a yakın olanların içecekleri bir kaynaktır o

Yusuf AliA spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to God

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırDoğrusu o suç işleyenler inananlara gülüyorlardı

Yusuf AliThose in sin used to laugh at those who believed

Saheeh InternationalAnd when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOnlara uğradıkları vakit birbirlerine göz kırpıyorlardı

Yusuf AliAnd whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery)

Saheeh InternationalAnd when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırEvlerine döndükleri zaman zevklenerek dönüyorlardı

Yusuf AliAnd when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting

Saheeh InternationalAnd when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırMüminleri gördükleri vakit; "işte bunlar sapıklar" diyorlardı

Yusuf AliAnd whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray

Saheeh InternationalBut they had not been sent as guardians over them

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırOysa onlar müminler üzerine bekçi olarak gönderilmemişlerdi

Yusuf AliBut they had not been sent as keepers over them

Saheeh InternationalSo Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers

Elmalılı Hamdi Yazırİşte bugün de inananlar kâfirlere gülecek

Yusuf AliBut on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers

Saheeh InternationalOn adorned couches, observing

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırKoltuklar üzerinde etrafa bakacaklar

Yusuf AliOn Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things)

Saheeh InternationalHave the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do

Elmalılı Hamdi YazırNasıl, kâfirler yaptıklarının cezasını buldular mı

Yusuf AliWill not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did
